Want to contribute to the style vs results argument going on at the moment.

Now I have 2 kids and rarely get any free time at all to watch Liverpool play but when I do, that is my down time and to honest I think I'd rather we played some good football and the games were enjoyable to watch than the games being boring and we're successful.

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree but at the end of the day I'm a football fan who enjoys watching the game more than I enjoy looking at our position in the table.

I'm sure my view point might change abit towards the end of the season if we end up with another trophyless season but hope you get my point, would you all really be happy if Liverpool won a few trophies this year but you didn't actually enjoy watching any games?

As a 25 year old who has obviously never seen us win the league, I’d take a 1-0 win with 1 shot every game and 89 mins of sideways and backwards passing.

I get the sentiment of want to watch good football, but good football had got us 8th place finishes in recent years.

I don’t even think our issues come from us not playing good football, it’s that the front 3 don’t seem to be clicking yet. Once they click we will start scoring 3/ 4 a game and it will all look much better. Because the other players know we’re not scoring, they are taking less chances on the ball because we can’t afford to concede.

Understand your point George, but as a bloke brought up in the halcyon days of the 70's, and sublime footy of the 80's, I just want the title. I left Liverpool in 91 when we were defending champions, and we haven't won it since.
Having said that, unless our performances pick up significantly, I can't see our luck continuing to hold. Years back, United would grind out wins, as did arsenal, and go on to win the league. But, they weren't up against this expensively assembled team of superstars that are man city.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think liverpool shop in the bargain basement anymore either burkey, city are a very good team as are liverpool but its because they have good managers mate its not just about the money imo..

Yes, I would. Actually, these 0-1 solid away wins make a refreshing change from the silly, gung-ho away performances we had become accustomed to previously. Watching Alisson, Van Dijk and co bore the daylights out of the opposition, picking up clean sheet after clean sheet whilst barely conceding any chances in the game itself, is easily as satisfying as winning 3-2 every week.
If you want to watch a team that plays nice stuff but loses, use your downtime to watch Bournemouth every week and then check up on our result afterwards.
This is as entertaining a Liverpool side as I can remember.

I want to be entertained too. But there is one thing I want more when it comes to sports. That’s To win (fair and square of course. ) I hope we win every game just like today for the rest of the season. I hope we go down as the most boring team to ever win the league. The heavy metal football was super exciting, but when we hit our bad patch last season, we weren’t getting results. We are joint top this season. Keep the boredom coming!

There needs to be a balance, but we’re only 25% of the way through the season.

A balance would be the preferred option, without doubt. Just to play devils advocate, those who would take a 1-0 with only one shot every game, would you like Jose in charge next season? I suspect I know the answer to that and guess that would prove the balance argument. We’re doing very well results wise but for me we’re walking a tightrope every game. Hopefully the front 3 will remember how they did things last year and we can add another couple of goals per game to go with the clean sheets. After all, city are already +10 better off in goal difference so if things are going to be as tight as people often suggest, that could become important later on.

Everyone is looking for balance, as LFC is not the only team looking for that. The issue is that as long as we keep winning while at the same time, trying to fix our obvious issues, I am cool with that cos there is NO way in hell that Klopp is telling them to go out there and purposely make bad decision in the final third. If I could persevere with our team not being able to keep a clean sheet for 3 seasons then I can persevere with us trying to fix our issues while at the same time, being tied with City at the top. Just saying.
