For a bit of fun I'd like to ask everyone, if they could only pick two liverpool squads since the premier league started which two squads would u choose? And also from your squads what would be your starting 11? For example, I picked the 2007/ 08 squad and the current squad and my starting 11 would be,

Alisson, Finnan, Van Dijk, Agger, Robertson, Gerrard, Alonso, Milner (on current form, Keita or the ox in the long term), salah, Suarez, Mane.

I’d say alisson, salah and mane are the easiest choices. Liverpool have had some shocking wingers. Purely on talent alone Suarez makes my list, but if we’re talking about overall contribution, replace him with firmino.

Got to admit, my team would be very similar to yours, Oubaas.

Only difference is I reckon the balance of Gomez (being speedy) with VVD probably works better.

I can't decide between Finnan (finshed article) and TAA (higher bar, still learning) also.

I would probably go with our current back 4, and that's certainly NOT something I would have even contemplated 12 months ago!

How far we've come in that area in such a short space of time:

Clyne/ Lovren/ Matip/ Moreno to TAA/ Gomez/ VVD/ Robbo.

Light years ahead!

I'll go 2011/ 2012 and it's a difficult choice between the 2007/ 08 squad, the 2005/ 06 squad (which did win the ucl, despite being a weaker squad on paper) and the current crop.

Agger was still at the club up to 2014, iirc, Mane. Carra (particularly circa 2012 when he'd been playing CB for 7 years) at right back to accommodate him though?

Anyway, I'd go current side plus 08/ 09.

Alonso
Henderson
Salah
Mane

Before anyone asks, I don't think it's reasonable to judge Allison against the best keeper we had in the Premier League era (although he's not exactly got massive competition there) after only a few games. I suspect by the end of the season I'd put him ahead of Reina.
