If or when Brexit is passed how will this effect the clubs from Great Britain competing in European competitions?

Technically these clubs would not be part of Europe.

{Ed002's Note - The clubs will still be part of Europe.}

We may no longer be part of the EU, but the outcome is unlikely to take us out of the continent, geographically!

Not football related but I've wondered the same thing about the Ryder cup.

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure if I, as an American, should be explaining the fundmentals of European politics and World geography to Liverpool supporters. But in the simplest of terms, Brexit (if it happens) will not remove the UK from Europe, but it will remove it from the European Union. To cut short the next question, any trade deal with China does not mean the UK becomes part of Asia.

I have always been rather astonished how few of the English can distinguish between Great Britain and the UK.

Brexit is about economics, not geography.

I do under stand that Brexit is an attempt to leave the EU and not physically leave Europe. My initial question was aimed at the fact that clubs are ran as businesses and as the EU govern trade rules within Europe I was wondering if it would effect the way UEFA would view clubs from Britain after the event.

Come to think of it, if Britain did physically leave Europe could another country move in in it's place or would it have to apply for planning permission first? lol.

{Ed002's Note - UEFA is nothing to do with the European Union. I often wonder what weird dioramas are running around inside the heads of Liverpool supporters.}
