I see lallana is fit again. IF and that's a big IF he can get back to the form he showed a couple of seasons ago then he could be a major boost to the midfield. 🤞.

Man, saw a post yesterday about Clyne and the Lallana today lol blasts from the past aye, totally forgot they are in the squad. In Lallana's case it be nice to see him string some minutes together.

I have my doubts as to whether he can work effectively with this front 3. Much rather have Shaqiri take up that midfield role.

I can see 'Remember a fit Lallana' gang coming back to the site 😂😂. Should have sold him last summer and replaced by James Maddison!

He has always been a talented player, a fit lallana can only be a good thing.

It’ll take him a LONG time to get back to his pre-injury form 🤝.

I agree ra, I honestly don't think the lad has a future at the club. Of course though I hope I'm wrong, I just can't see how he's going to fit in, Shaqiri fits our style much better. I see Lallana in cup games maybe but that's about it.

Like any sensible supporter I hope that he regains his form of a couple of seasons ago and becomes an important player for us again.

Lallana has not touched the ball in two years. please stop expecting miracles from him. its not going to happen. He won't be starting any game soon.

Sell Lallana in Jan and buy Fekir.

Salah, that first year when Klopp came in, Lallana was vital to the pressing game. That was his strong skill, while he didn't offer much with his offensive side given the pirouettes and doodling with the ball. He was the triger for the press. Now Firmino has that role. And Henderson, Milner and Wijnaldum have taken the press to a higher level (when we decide to use it) . What can Lallana do now? I agree with you in the need to move him on. It's doing a disservice to his career to hold on to him. Let him move on, get one last payday and make the most of it for himself.

Nailed it ArAay.
Lallana could only press! He was under the shadow of Coutinho all his life. He has no vision to play deeper. Lallana has no pace to play on the flanks and he isn’t good enough with his vision to play deeper.

salah fail to see your point? shaq was largely not wanted for his laziness and in the 200 minutes of first team football has proved us wrong which I'm thankful for. but that's about 3 games.

How that is a better fit than one of the most hard working players that we have had the only 2 years ago was one of the best in our team and shown his quality?

the lallana of 2 years ago is perfect for our system and would add some much needed impetus to our attack if we can get him back to that level.

Hes a quality player that blends in our system seamlessly - whether he's here beyond this season is a big question but a fully fit lallana on the bench could still play a big part in the seasons title race.

I agree that it will take a lot of time for Lallana to get ip to speed given a Long time out on the sidelines. However, I am not sure if Shaqiri is ready to play in a pressing midfield 3. It will take him time to get used to our style, and with the press you need all 10 outfielders contributing as one unit. Not saying he won’t get there, but it will take time (like it did with the Ox) . I think Keita will come in in midfield and try to play the more attacking / Creative role and Shaq will continue to cover for the front 3 along with Sturridge.

A loan deal for him would be ideal to improve his fitness and we can recoup some of the wages. I’d sooner him show his worth, rather than ride on one seasons performance. Good luck to him either way!

You've said it yourself swish, the lallana of two years ago, sure would be brill for the team now but we're 2 years later mate and he's not good enough for this team accept that or not that's your opinion but please tell me, do you think he can add anything to this team? He can't and Shaqiri can, a player I was against us signing but he's certainly proved he's capable.

Agreed ra.

Lallana will do well to get into this team as it is cos like it or not, the team he thrived in two years ago is light years behind this one. In fact, I would understand if he ha been playing a bit in the past two years BUT he has not, unfortunately. His task is now two-fold. First regain full fitness and secondly, try to get up to speed with a team that has left him way behind. Good luck, Adam lad cos you're going to need every ounce of it going forward.
