Morning Ed001,

I've not watched many games since West Ham, work and family commitments. today will be my first time back at Anfield since then.

It's cleae Mané, Salah and Bobby haven't really clicked yet, just wondering your thoughts on this. Rusty, a little fatigued not being match fit? It has The creativity not been there in midfield.

{Ed001's Note - this is what always seems to happen after a World Cup or other summer tournament. Some players miss a proper pre-season and struggle to get going at first.}

Didn’t think about that, good point, pre season is so important from a fitness point of view.

Today will be an interesting one Ed 001, with both teams not hitting top form. City haven’t won at Anfield since 2003, let’s hope it stays intact!

The creativity has nothing to do with World Cup imo. Disagree with Ed01. It’s the same midfield of last season except the front three were scoring goals nobody noticed how puss poor our central midfield area were last season. Now that the goals have dried up people have started to notice it.
The creativity burden was always on the shoulder of Firmino post Coutinho!
Our midfielders are “Workman midfield”.

'I have no name', James Milner set a new champions league assist record last season? sorry I'm just baffled how you can be so negative. The midfield did well last season and its hardly the same midfield anyway. Keita's introduction will make a huge difference once he's settled and we still have the Ox to come back. Aside from City I can't think of a more creative midfield in the league.

No Harry. Lol.

{Ed001's Note - I am just glad he disagreed with me. The time to worry is when he agrees.}

I agree with Ed01 about players struggling for form off the back of a summer tournament.
However Harry is right, there are rarely any goals from midfield, if the front 3 do not score then Liverpool struggle for goals. Klopp obviously wanted Fekir for more creativity and goals from midfield. Coutinho has not been replaced but finding the right replacement is easier said than done.

Harry, you forgot to mention that we got to the Champions League Final with this "piss poor" midfield out of sheer luck and nothing else beyond that.

Oh yea! Which is why Klopp is considering another midfielder (Ramsey) . You could certainly urge him not to buy Ramsey.
There is no match with city. They are yet to unleash KDB. We are not even close to Chelsea in that area let alone city!
Our midfield is “Workman Midfield” if you know what this mean!

It's your lucky day Harry, you are right again, I would love to see David Silva in LIverpools midfield, even at his age now I reckon there are still 2 or 3 years at the top for him, he makes the game look easy. It is too early to judge Chelseas midfield but Silva has been doing the business for years in the premier league.
Anyway, relieved we came away with a draw in the end, not a great though.

They clicked against West Ham, then the club reported Salah to the police and he’s looked like a stranger ever since.
