Just watched it. He shrugged his man off well but he’s still a bit lightweight for the prem for me. Classy player though always liked him.

“Lightweight for the prem”, is said a lot but I’ve never understood it. David Silva is one of the prem’s greatest ever players and he’s certainly lightweight. Lanzini is another that stands out as having made a solid career (though he’s obviously nowhere near silva’s Level) despite his frame. Quality always shines through as long as the player isn’t afraid of getting involved despite said frame, Suso pressed and got involved even at youth level. I agree he’s more suited to Serie A, but he would have definitely made it in the prem.

Watched the majority of the match. I wouldn't take any player from either team. How ac won that match is a joke. They're bloody awful and sassoulo wasted chance after chance.

I get what you’re saying Eamonsf but the prem is a physical league. For every ‘lightweight’ player that makes it there are ones that don’t. Aspas, Rossi, Forlan. Solanke is a prime example, physically dominated the youth leagues and is now struggling. It all depends on the player, his coaching, technical ability, fitness regime, etc.

Spot on, Harry. Suso would have made it in the PL, IMO as well and to me the "he's too lightweight" stuff is just a red herring. I ain't buying that. Suso would have made it in the PL then and would make it here now. "PL is a physical league". And what do you call the Serie A? it may not have a lot of pace BUT it has been a very physical league for decades where the emphasis is NOT to concede.
