Hey ed001, any chance of a match review? was a thoroughly entertaining game. Thought a draw was a fair result though we might have been able to snatch a win if we took some of our chances better. So much to be admired about both teams. Can't remember Hazard starting a season this well.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, I just haven't had a chance to rewatch the game yet. Hopefully tomorrow.}

Salah isn't handling the pressure very well is he. Player of the year, its a big responsibility. I'm starting to wish kdb won it. Salah would have curled the ball into the far corner last season twice last night. OK one may not have been wide enough and the keeper may have got a hand to it but it still would have gone in. 2 1. Last season he had a point to prove but now he doesn't, best player in the league. It's a hard one to live up to, especially when everyone is saying hazard is the best.

I have faith in mo salah and although i didn't think he would reach the heights of last season I still fancy him to go 20+.

As a few people have pointed out, I suspect the injury has played a bigger part then the 'pressure' though I'm sure that doesn't help. I'm not overly concerned, his build up yesterday was great just missing that final touch. Though I'd argue the same could be said of any of the front three. Salah just has more eyes on him after his performances last year, I'd also back him to get 20+.

No one thought he would thrive as much as he did last year, premier League record scorer in 1st full season as a starter . This doesn't surprise me one bit but he probably feels a responsibility too reproduce the same form as last season and just needs too play through this cold patch til he feels happy with his form . It's not even bad form 3 goals 3 assists penalties won, it's just the standards he has set for himself and let's b honest since the final against Madrid he has had a few knocks like the shoulder injury, not being 100 percent for the world cup, the issues with Egypt and even knobeads here in Liverpool trying too blacken his name with being on the phone in his car . Soon we will have our Mo back it's about how u bounce back from the knocks and i believe he will come back stronger .

Just come back from a terrible injury that was caused in the most heartbreaking fashion. Mo definitely isn’t his best but game time will help. Have a little patience guys, it’s going to be a long season.

Me too hailstones. I didn't mean my post to sound like an attack on salah albeit a small one. I love him, always will for what he did last season and the romance of him missing most of the European Cup final Coz of an injury. I'll always remember it. I'm also a little worried though, it's not just mo, the team as a whole aren't playing as well as they did last season. We are still winning so I am happy, we have some fantastic new players. Becker earned his keep against Chelsea.

The boys need to click though, if we want to win this league. Pressure is part of that. Keita has shown glimpses and I think he is going to thrive, needs to feel more part of the team but that comes with getting through tough tests with the other players, who had all played a part on reaching the CL final. I'm still seeing mane not pass to salah though. I hate to say it. Of course they do pass but I still saw moments when mane could have passed but didn't. I hope it's in my head, mane probably sees two cbs on salah and so goes left instead.

Twice salah had the chance to curl one into the far corner. He was in perfect position twice and one he scuffed and the other was a mis placed pass. He would have buried them last season. That came down to pressure. Playing at Stamford Bridge for anyone but Chelsea comes with plenty of pressure in of itself, especially Liverpool. And he was a Chelsea player once too. But I do think the added pressure is having an effect.

I also think he will come through it and show hazard who is really the best player in the league. Of course, he has the medal to prove it.

Mane Man, trust me, it’s in your head. The front 3 were awesome last season and it just hasn’t quite clicked for them yet this season. But it will do, hopefully starting next Sunday against Manchester City.

Mane man, our attack (albeit small) on Salah is uncalled for, IMO. The guy is clearly having issues on and off the pitch hence, it is affecting his play and decision-making. He is over-thinking things whereas last season, he was on such a high that anything he touched turned to goals. Football is a game of instints and the day you start thinking on a pitch esp. as an attacking player then your confidence is shot. We can all understand that.

Pressure? What pressure? You mean the pressure of being the hope of a whole country? Or the pressure of being targeted by opposing defenders and still dropping 44 goals on them still? There is no more pressure than normal for such a player who is an international star and a national treasure. The issue here is that he just has to keep doing what he is doing as in getting into good positions and getting chances and with the confidence his coaches and team mates have in him along with the unwavering support of the fans, he will come good. I'm not worried.

Man mane a think salah will come good a don't think the start to last season was any different for him.

The problem is the media, imo somebody does something great one week then there the best player in the world next week they change there mind when somebody else does something spectacular. They always look week to week rather than over the whole season. On our behalf salah will come good and we will go on to be champions, yestadays result will prove to be a very good one come may, seasons before we'd of lost that game but this season drawing with Chelsea away and if we can get results away from the rest of the top six we will almost definitely be number 1 when the curtain comes down on the season.

as usual the couch psychologists are getting in their own way. Salah just needs time. would be far more concerned if he wasn't getting any chances or creating nothing. but that hasn't been the case. classic case of mis-understanding how performance and output interact with each other. In this case, Salah can certainly add more to his game, but let's not let his "lack of goals" torment your overall assessment of the player and certainly let's not go down the path of psychoanalyzing his mentality.
