You can see why klopp was desperate to sign him tearing city to shreds.

Do u think we would still go back and would he still have same desire too come as we messed him about bigtime, I was gutted when we never got him in summer and gutted now as he will probably get snapped up by someone else in premiership.

His knees were not medically compliant. 60 million pounds and he won't be starting ahead of either mane or salah and we don't play with an attacking mid. made sense to buy shaqiri and we did.

Yeah he's a player that would've been the icing on the cake for our squad but not one that we really need. His knee made the deal too risky and looking at our set up at the moment it's hard to see where he'd even have fit in so far. I like him a lot as a player and it was fun to watch him do that to city, but it was the right call not to sign him and hailstones we did not mess him around. The deal was advancing until a problem emerged from his medical and a decision was made. It happens. I think you can forget about Fekir, but perhaps we'll find another creative left footed mid somewhere along the line. That Kai Havertz kid looks promising.

{Ed002's Note - It was over money.}
