I know this might be very early days in the season but any one else worried about our finishing? to many chances not converted? I mean on the basis of our play we should have won all games very easily. even in the west ham game we missed a lot of chances.
Cannot complain we are 5 out of 5 and that is the first time it has been done in premier league and it could be just players getting back into that groove and it will surely improve. But i think we are missing too many good chances at the moment. Early days may be we will sort it out by week 7 or 8.

It doesn't matter to me to be honest mate, I'd be happy with 1-0 wins all season, we're winning and that's the most important thing.

Well we are good i belive. If Keita reaches levels expected, we will have even more chances lol.

I think the team's chemistry and finishing is going to get better over the next few games. A lot of them didn't play together in preseason. They just came back from intl break for spurs game.

With now a run of games (one every 3-4 days) we should see better in terms of interplay and finishing.

Although I agree with Salah, I'd take 1-0 wins all day.

Salah was missing 4 out of 5 chances early last season too. Nothing to see here IMO.

{Ed001's Note - exactly mate. People have forgotten how he started the season.}

not worried because we are winning games. But i was watching the spurs game and the score line was not a fair reflection of how well we played and chances we did create. and then when there was a penalty call at the end i just got thinking we might rue the chances we missed. But it was all good as we won.
yes i agree it is very early days. But since our front three are same i was expecting may more i think. It will get more cohesive as we go ahead.

Im not worried about our finishing as we saw last season when on form just how clinical we can be.

its comforting to know that we have played 5 won 5 knowing that we are yet to reach our best.

Our front three has proven they are goal scorers. it’s just early in the season and taking a bit of time to click into top gear. I would be far more worried if we weren’t creating chances, or leaking goals at the back, I’m pretty sure the conversion rates will improve.

I think we have to take solace in the fact that 2 of the so called best defenders in the premier league in Toby and Vertonghen were absolutely terrified of our front three. You could see it Everytime Salah or Mane got the ball in particular the panic was obvious.
If we can do that to them then that bodes well for us against the rest. The finishing will come just as it did last season.

Goal difference would certainly play a big part in deciding the title this season. So 1-0 won’t be good enough if you want to win it. Our strength lies in all our attack and goals. Salah and Mane are miles apart mentally. If they don’t stick together then we are missing more chances!

We are not yet at full throttle

Once we gear up in the next few weeks then watch us fly

If we can avoid serious injuries we are in for one hell of a season.

‘Goal difference will certainly play a big part? ’

It’s only played a big part twice in the last 50 years or so Perception. that’s a big call mate, and I don’t think we should be setting our strategy in September to be playing for goal difference just yet!

Sure Harry BUT if we go and win every game 1-0, it can't be argued, we'd win the league lol I know we won't win every game but you know what I'm saying. Either way, the league is already ours mate just believe and the team will do the rest. We'll smash it! They may as well hand us the trophy now! :) hope you're well Harry mate.

Goal difference will be irrelevant if we win every game 1-0, Harry, unless anoth team wins every match as well.

14.) 17 Sep 2018

Which would be impossible since we have to play each team twice, so only 1 team could ever finish the season winning every game. Plus, to claim after 5 games that goal difference will essentially decide the title (it either does or it doesn't, there's no grey area with this one! ) is one of the boldest claims I've seen on here! Get a fiver on it Harry, you'll clean up.

It’s a bit silly to be talking about goal difference at this point but we have a goal difference of +9 after 5 games with 3 of those games away from home against Palace, Leicester and Spurs.
Chelsea are +10 and City +11.
We’ve had the more difficult games in my opinion as other than Arsenal (under a new manager and just trying to find their feet) neither City nor Chelsea have played teams that you would expect to give them a game yet both have struggled at times.
I’d say we are doing just fine.

5 wins out of 5. No, I’m not worried 🤝.

Exactly AussieMark, I remember screaming at my TV in a few of the early games last season because Salah missed some real easy chances.
Then he goes and scores 40 goals. I'd imagine he'll still hit 20 goals in the league this season, he's handed too many chances not too, you know?
