Hi All,

Mancity have announced record revenue this season cross 500 million for year ended June 2018. They are only the second club to do say in premier league i think.

Liverpool's last year revenue was 364 million (year ended May 2017).

I think if our general revenue stream from past year have remained stable and with the CL money and additional admission money we should be able to reach the 500 million mark too.

Wont find out until next year though i think as May 2017 was published in Feb/ March this year.

So what’s your point?

Why the interest in money?

What ever happened to the days of football just being about the football?

It’s the same with the obsession over the actual costs of the transfers. Why does it really matter?

Red Sandman.

Football is football, being in a good place financially is better for football on the pitch allows you to invest in players, training ground facilities etc.

I don't know why you have to snap like this. The actual football is no1 but some people are interested in other things regarding the club too.

Some people have a multi faceted interest in the things that they like.

For example, I am mad about trees. They are crazily interesting things that most people have no idea about other than to say “Ooh that’s a big tree”, or whatever. I could be into trees and just know the names of the species ( i. e watching football and knowing teams and players etc), which is what Sandman seemed to be alluding to. That’s all fine but then when you dig down into how they work, control ecosystems, talk to eachother, keep eachother alive etc (to which an ignoramus would say it’s mumbo jumbo, but then I would ask you to read a bit before making conclusions), you find out there is more to it than just saying, “whatever happened to the days of trees just being trees”?

This is a proper ramble, I apologise, but my point is just because you want to merely watch and enjoy the sporting side of things does not mean that interest should not be found in the other parts of the game as well.

That was a fine rant Angry Bardzo.

Ever thought about branching out into a daily rant, a bit like “what really grinds by gears” by Peter Griffin?

You could be at the beech-head of such a movement where people can just be themselves and indulge their (innocent) interests.

People shouldn’t be able to just limit discussions to a narrow boundaries by playing the “oh that old hoary chestnut” line.

You often need to explore a topic in depth to get to the root of it.

I salute your crusade to live and let live, and your words do not upset me one little bit, I’m sure your bark is much worse than your bite.

So continue this crusade and I’m sure it will gather traction - from little acorns do mighty oaks grow.

Just twigged?

I’ll leave.

😉.

Fair play Zed. Not sure how long that took you but gave me a well needed Friday chuckle mate. 😂.

Ha! Zeddicus, my friend, you must have grown on a tree, because you are a nut!

I must admit, I do like a good rant. Some things you just have to get off of your chest. If I didn't, I might turn form Angry to Apoplectic and nobody wants that so there you go, one membership to the Piss and Moan About Everything Club please.

Really hope the "branching out" was intended. Classic.

You would certainly think so, but not really Bobby. All trees are doing more while standing still than Benteke does while moving around. I still can’t believe we recouped as much as we did for him.
