Ed1 just reading you had links to Hurworth/ Darlington. You ever go to Darlington games?

Not just a fruit loop mate he was a crook, George Reynolds . So it must have been in the new stadium and not at Feethams. I remember going to watch his first game in charge as chairman . He was shaking peoples hands and said hang on, took his watch off and put it in his pocket, he thought someone was going to lift his watch off his wrist 😂😂.

{Ed001's Note - I think the stadium was being built when my parents moved there, but I only remember it being there as we would pass it in the car on the way to their house. Proper white elephant that was.}

He wanted to have bands play the council turned his application down . Shame really because it was always way to big for the football alone . In many ways the council could have ruined Darlington F. C. . Great talking ed cheers.
