Baring a silly mistake on Alison’s part that could have well been a 2-0 today. Even then if ever there was a time for him to make that mistake, it was then. Early on in the season in a game where we still won, keepers get pressed more aggressively in the prem and that takes getting used to.

The team hasn’t clicked yet but having watched the Chelsea and Man City games it’s pretty clear that none of the top teams have. Individual players are having there moments but I think everyone is experiencing a World Cup hangover. Best is yet to come. Only real complaint I have is that I wish Klopp wouldn’t change the back line when we’re under pressure.

i agree salah. i think alisson learned his lesson and we'll see a much different focus against spurs. i think they will have a point to prove especially after comments from their side.

That's the attitude to have stone, nice one mate!

We've all seen even the best of keepers make some shocking mistakes, today it was Alissons turn but overall I'm so happy with him, he's what we've needed for years and will prove over the season how much we needed him, great keeper.

I agree, I think we'll come back with a fantastic performance against Spurs and absolutely annihilate them. It's taking a few games to get back into the swing of things but 4 wins in 4 games, none of us can complain, imagine when we actually start playing to our best again? god help the league, we'll smash everybody.

I knew allisson would make a mistake like this esp. after his cocky comments during the week like "This is the way I play. If you don't if you don't want heart attacks then don't watch me play". I thought that was too cocky and low and behold, he got his comeupance today. The good thing is that the mistake came in a win and even after he made the mistake, he belted every other pass made to him up the pitch. Lesson learned, I hope. 12 ;points, top of the league and Up D Pool!

Agreed, he needed to make the mistake to learn from and it sounds like he will learn from it.
The crazy thing is, he had to go the long way around a sliding Gomez (or was it Trent? ) And he STILL nearly saved the shot. Inches away from making a cracking recovery save.
His speed is impeccable for a goalkeeper!
