Good review Ed thank's. You were right about Mane although it's not really like him to be that bad. Just going back to yesterday's debate about Owen I seem to remember you saying that he was more interested in his horse's than the team.

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate. Owen was hence the missed games.}

Oh thanks! Really enjoy reading them. Have to admit though that my nerves almost shattered off in the closing mins of the match. 3pts in the bag thankfully. Cheers!

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate. Sorry the links aren't generating.}

A fair review ed! The best thing for me was the fact we seem to be turning the corner when it comes to winning whilst playing poorly, something united did very well under Fergie, we needed to capitalise on city dropping points because that won’t happen to often! The team seems so much more settled with Alisson in goal although he needs to be a bit careful with being blasé at times, the only team with a perfect start so far this season, that’ll do.

{Ed001's Note - I thought Watford had won 3?}

I mean because we’ve yet to concede so technically we’re the only perfect team.

Thanks Ed01 for the review. To be honest, I didn't notice any of those mentioned in the review. I think I'm just a dude who's easily pleased, I enjoyed the game and the previous games so much, I feel that I was blinded to all the other things. I am just too excited. Please this year please.

{Ed001's Note - I do watch twice to see more of it mate to be fair. Not sure how much I would notice on first viewing as i am caught up in the game.}

Great review ed, Salah has started this season like he started last season, getting into position but looking wayward with finishing, a few more weeks and he’ll be back to his lethal best. End of last season’s Salah gets a hat trickwith the positions he found himself in imo. Delighted with getting the result though, particularly at a later kick off. A few more and we’ll be on a bit of a roll. It’s dizzy from all the way up here.

{Ed001's Note - he just needs to refind his sharpness, it happens with a lot of players after a break. When you speak to pros, it is amazing how many of them say they feel like they can't even kick a ball properly after the summer break. Quite a few say it takes a few days of training just to feel anything like normal again. They used to say they needed 5 or 6 competitive games, at least, to get the sharpness back and really get up to speed. The fact he already has 2 goals and we have 3 wins as well augurs well for when he is back to his best!}

So weird with Mane. He was trying and getting up and down like usual, but as you say, just got in the way most of the time. The only time he did the right thing was the pass from Milners tackle for Firmino when we scored. I won't slate the lad for a second because he's been one of the best in the first two matches and will prove to be the difference in future games too. Klopp should've seen it though and replaced him a lot, lot sooner. We'd have scored more if we just had someone who could pass instead of Mane up there. Still, job done. Mane hatrick next game.

Also, Sturridge and Salah will clash I think. They're both too greedy to play together, at least on that performance. Lot's of opportunities for them to work an understanding and an opening for the other one, but both opted to go it alone each time and fluffed it. That's why Mane and Firmino are so vital.

I'd say Mane is as selfish as Sturridge. And since Mane and Salah got along and get along fine, I see no problem between Sturridge and Salah. The objective is to score goals or assist in scoring goals. Who and how is really a statistic for the end of the season.

Spot on, I’m very excited about what he’ll do this season. Cheers for that ed.

{Ed001's Note - makes two of us mate! Half my friends have been home to Egypt or to Egypt on holiday the last few months, so I have a lot of Salah stuff they brought me back. So he better play blooming well now or they will have all wasted their pennies!}

Maybe they are as selfish as eachother, I still think Mane is more likely go for the assist than Sturridge and therefore, is more likely to look for the better option. Either way, having Firmino out on the side isolated him slightly and left two soloists together. I know Salah's trying to get right back in the swing of scoring for fun and Sturridge is trying to make his mark where possible, but they were a head up moment away from securing the match for us. I'm not complaining as we won, it was just an observation.

Thanks Ed good review. Do you think Milner’s playing the best he has ever played last 6months? Amazing how Klopp improves players but Milner seems to be fitter and stronger than ever.

Gomez has been great. Lovren, one of the best defenders in the world, might struggle to get his regular spot back.

{Ed001's Note - I think he is performing better than I have ever seen him at the very least. And I have watched him hundreds of times since he was in the Leeds academy.}

Milner’s 32 Ed. Hopefully we’ll get another 2 yrs from him. I love the fact he gives everything every game and is a leader for us. He’ll be a big player for us this season.

{Ed001's Note - I could see him carrying on for at least 3 more.}
