Not a great spectacle yesterday evening but at the end of the day 3pts and a clean sheet is an absolute positive. Mane had an off day. Keita under hit a few passes yesterday and on Monday night but I think that's down to getting used to the pace of the premier league. Between Milner and Gini for MOTM for me. Roll on Leicester City.

Coincidence that both those players never played in the World Cup?
A few players seem to be at different stages of fitness too.
The defence is looking much better, Gomez doing well.
And I love Alisson. A couple of minor harum-scarum moments but it comes with the territory.
A keeper full of confidence is much more important.
Three out of three will do me.

I think he was referring to Gini and Milner. The two that Rudder said he thought it was between for MOTM.

A bit of an off day, but Gini was fantastic and only missed one pass (98%! ) and Milner good again, so with our defence and midfield it only took one moment to seal the points (especially with Alisson’s exceptional save) .

On the down side it was a little concerning how we played the last 30 minutes, and we took our foot of the gas, and we gave them every chance to get back into things.

I think we really should have injected some urgency to midfield or out wide at around 60mins and given Shaqiri a run. Try sitting back like that against a better side and we perhaps would have been punished.
