Good morning!

Another three points, I only saw the second half because my stream was terrible so I sneaked across to the nearest pub to watch it. I'll take the 1-0 all day long, games like that do worry me though, it's games like that what we'd of been drawing last season. The most important thing this season imo is turning them kind of games into wins and we did exactly that yesterday, I was bricking it thinking they'd equalise but we got there!

Top of the league, get used to seeing that because that's what we're going to see most of the season! some may call me daft for thinking this way but I don't think we'll just win the league I think we'll steam roll it. Bring on Leicester, the lads will come back with a better performance and ruin them.

Thank you to those who emailed me yesterday and to the people mentioning me in posts. I haven't emailed all of you back but will try my best to do so this morning :) .

Have a great Sunday everyone!

I disagree with your statement a tad there. We almost lost hold of a win yesterday. Way too casual for my liking. But let's be fair and honest, the lads don't look match fit at all. Atmosphere was poor as well, I don't enjoy going to the 17.30 matches these days, the crowd just don't seem up for it. I disagree from the sense that we didn't turn the game in to a draw, we almost threw away a lead because we didn't kick on.

Agree with II here.

Our start has been superb results-wise, with some hugely satisfying results gained to begin the season. But I thought some of the players look like they couldn’t really be bothered yesterday, especially the front three, who seemed more interested in making fun of their opponents than putting the ball in the net.

The team is doing brilliantly, I just hope we see less of these complacent, lazy performances.

I don't want to be negative Lowel, and at the end of the day we won and I shouldn't really moan. Had we drew or even worse lost, then I'd really have a case. But I just found us a bit sloppy yesterday, from front to back, taking unnecessary chances and generally very poor with our passing. On several occasions there was gaping holes in our midfield which credit to Brighton they exploited.
Did you see Trent going absolutely mad when he was in acres down the right in the second half and we played the ball through the middle? He and Robbo on several occasions yesterday got ignored out wide in favour of a infield pass, must have been really frustrating for them.

I disagree that it is negative, just an observation that there was a clear drop in our intensity yesterday when compared to other recent matches. We won, and the team is doing brilliantly.
What I would say is that yesterday was just one of those lethargic performances that happen from time to time, although are certainly getting rarer and rarer every season. The difference now compared to, say, early 2017 is that we have fantastic players who win games even without fully being at it, which is obviously positive.
My hope is that we just see less of the lethargic performances, and never taking games as givens.

Hope you're feeling better Salah. Good result and another win ground out. Slightly concerned that the front 3 are still struggling to click in to gear and also the amount of passes we seemed to give away in the final third. However a win is a win and we can only improve as the new lads settle in!
