Thought Gomez was great last night, took instructions well from Van Dijk and believe there's a real partnership that can be formed here. Robertson was great again, Milner is coming on leaps and bounds, Henderson was neat and tidy and Bobby was just Bobby tireless and completely none stop. Wasnt our best performance but that was a game we'd have dropped points last season.

Gomez I agree was decent. Robertson was quite poor and Bobby looks very rusty he didn't have a good game. Very little impact and his one shot was slashed 30 yards wide. I don't understand why he gets constant praise even when he has an average game. I am sure he will improve when he is fully upto speed but he should have been subbed earlier.

Salah was also not at his best but he constantly effects the game, he still does the tracking back but he is effective both ways.

I actually though that Robertson (and Trent) were pretty poor last night - nothing special in defense (although neither were put under much pressure) but going forward they were rushing, not looking up and wasteful of several good chances. Would much rather it happens in a game like yesterday than against someone who will punish that but certainly not the follow up I was hoping for from the West Ham game.

Firmino never looked like he was going to score last night but the work he got through was unreal. He was everywhere linking the play, making tackles, pressuring the ball. I thought he played well.

Follow up to the West Ham game? Like 3 points away from home at a tough palace ground on a Monday night, where other teams around us will drop points. I'm delighted with a win there while some of our top lads weren't at it. Sign of title challengers which is what I'll be taking away from that game.

We had a couple of players last night who looked tired and Bobby just lacked his normal sharpness, still think he is a top player who might need a rest.

Crystal Palace have the makings of a good team there and played well which knocked us back as if we didn't expect them to rise to the challenge.

Players like Schlupp, Zaha, Townsend, Milhojovich (spelling) and van arnholtt are all players who on their day are good enough for any top four club and they definitely raised their game for us last night.

We managed a win where I think a lot of big teams could come undone, with the pace Palace can utilise in such a direct manor.

I feel it is a step forward for us as a team to win when maybe not all our players were firing on all cylinders.

Football aside, I wish forum salah all the best in his recovery and hope he is back posting soon. There are some cretins in this world but get your chin up and keep up your positivity which shows in your previous posts.

Last night want a game for our players to look good, office were organised at the back and dangerous on the counter. I'm pretty delighted how everyone performed.
