Question for Ed01 if you have the time mate. It's been said a few times on here that the signing of Mane was a risk due to serious bad attitude, problematic in the dressing room etc etc and now seems to be the example that all players with bad attitude we are linked with will be fine because look what Klopp done with Mane.

My question is what was the issues with Mane. Unless he's performed a miraculous turnaround, every interview I've seen him in, the at home with Mane video he did, the relationship he seems to have with players and staff alike, he has always crossed me as a quiet, humble professional that seems miles away from the stigma he had when joining us. Has he changed his ways that much or was the label he had when signing for Liverpool a bit unjust?

Not disbelieving anything anyone has said but it's more out of curiosity as he certainly doesn't come across as a problem player now. Thanks for all your hard work as always.

{Ed001's Note - there were a couple of issues with him. One was the going on strike bad attitude when he decided he wanted a move. The other was that his performances started well and then he would just fade out unless he was facing a big team, then he would play well. If he was facing someone like Man Utd, he would be top class, but teams like say Fulham he would just not bother turning up in reality.}

Is it a case of wouldn’t bother, or couldn’t get himself fired up for?
Seems like Liverpool all over, storm all over the top sides then be slow and lethargic against the smaller sides.

{Ed001's Note - felt like a bit of both watching him.}

There was nobody to replace him at Southampton, if he had a string of poor games at Liverpool he would be out of the team so I guess that would keep you on your toes on it’s own.
