Ed001 I no you have given your opinion on Messi vs maradona comparisons. But can I ask about your opinion on Ronaldo vs Eusabio if you have time please who was the better player, is Ronaldo the best Portuguese player of all time or is someone else. Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - I have not really seen much of Eusebio to judge him to be honest. Sorry.}

Ok no problem thanks ed.

{Ed001's Note - I will make a point of doing so when I do his legends profile so I might be able to answer then.}

Thanks ed will look forward to that.

{Ed002's Note - I remember seeing Eusabio play. We had flown in to London that morning to attend a funeral a few days later and my father took my brother and I to watch the game at Wembley.}

My Dad has always waxed lyrical over Eusebio. He often spoke of how he really was the player fo the '66 World Cup and how impressive he was.

It seems he was incredible physical specimen; a real powerhouse. He could strike the ball with such ferocity and accuracy. His scoring record is absolutely unbelievable.

I remember reading about how he came to European football and it's a fascinating story, so I'd recommend anyone to look it up. There's one on my second favourite site for all football matters. Obviously, I won't post the link here, but it might have something to do with 'football times'.

You'd need to be seventy to have remembered him st his best and tv coverage was not like today. the question I suppose is given the poorer pitches equipment, training methods and diets, the heavy ball and rule changes like the passing back to the keeper, not to mention the tackling how would each do in the others era?
