Thx Ed001, nice concise summary of events there.
Most pertinent from our perspective is that, out of the top 6 teams, Liverpool look to have emerged better than their rivals.
I'm not sure on the Fekir bit; I'd have liked Lemar personally, who could have covered 10 and a wide slot. I thought we might have went back for him after last January's enquiry?
Sturridge is about in the last chance saloon now, hopefully he can stay fit and he'd be almost like a new signing.
Joe Gomez also needs a big season.

{Ed001's Note - Fekir could do that as well, but he can also play the Firmino role too up front, making him even more versatile.}

Great read Ed01.

Hopefully with Alisson, it'll be no longer necessary for another CB to push Lovren. I really hope that. Kinda like Lovren.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate. I like him too.}

We got shaqiri.

Shaqiri vs fekir for me.

Both good players. Shaqiri does the exact same job. He's got quality aswel, along with no knee injury worries, more pace, premier league experience, point to prove and the ability to be used estimated by fellow teams.

I'm equally excited as I would of been in fekir had of signed. Except idint have to worry about no acls with big Shaq.

Great read mate, really enjoyed it. Difficult to argue with any of it. Out of curiosity, who would have been your pick for a potential new cb. Actually said the same thing last night when discussing the summer business.

{Ed001's Note - thank you very much. It is a tough one but, as Jose Gimenez is probably a not a hope in hell, I would go with De Ligt or Upamecano.}

Never deal with rb again. We probably would have to agree a deal to sign him in 5 season or summit 😂

Giminez is the future for athletic and seems a loyal sod, playing with Godin is huge aswel.

But why oh why we don't capitalise on our own international partnership in de ligt and vvd is beyond me.

Alderwiereld and vertongher and Giminez with Godin. It's such a bonus to have them play together all year long.

I agree on the CB tip, Ed. Matip and Lovren are becoming a problem in terms of them being injured for long spells esp. Matip. Klopp may have to make a decision next summer or in Jan. As for Fekir, he is a beast of a player and Lemar is not at his level. He can do MANY things and fill many positions in attack that Lemar can't fill right now BUT you can't get all you want in a TW all the time so as long as we get most of who we wanted, I'm good. All in all, great read as always, Ed.

{Ed001's Note - cheers BR glad you enjoyed.}

Great read Ed, really enjoyed that. We had a great window but could've done with a couple more signings. still, a Keita, Fabinho, Henderson midfield will be really defensively solid, as much as I'd have liked Fekir and the promising Joe Gomez will now get a few more opportunities at centre back.

{Ed001's Note - thank you very much Lem.}

Great read Ed001. Your reviews are unlike anything else I’ve read, I come away feeling I’ve learnt a lot more! Really admire the work you do on this site.

{Ed001's Note - thank you RtR. I take that as even more of a compliment now I have seen your match previews. They are very good mate.}

Cheers Ed, means a lot from you. Glad I can help out!

{Ed001's Note - better than mine to be honest. And thank you, it is so good being able to take some time off with friends over the weekend.}
