Hi Eds. Best of luck with the madness that's coming your way over the next six months and beyond.
Quick question with regard to Sturridge if you have the time to answer please.
The fact that we are willing to hold on to him for the coming season, have the medical staff given reassurance to the manager they have gotten to the root of his niggling injuries or is it a case of close you eyes and cross your fingers?
Seems a weird one to me that Klopp is willing to risk it if he didn't get it.

{Ed001's Note - bit of both. And that no one is as desperate as the Baggies were to match his wages.}

Sturridge was a quality player - not just a speed merchant who could burst past people. His touch, his composure and his finishing were top quality. At no point did it make sense to me to pay his wages for him to play for someone else and I'm glad the club agreed.

I like Sturridge for the reasons hjikle mentioned above but i cannot help but believe that it's just a matter of time until he gets a knock and spends 3 months on the treatment table again.

Come on guys try to be positive and give him a chance. He's had a full pre-season and played in 9 games, scored 6 and assisted 2. I'm really hopeful he can be that proper Firmino backup striker we all crave and bang in 15-20 in all comps. It's more goals off the bench that we need to improve on last season and with Studge and Shaq I think we could have exactly that. Hopefully the midfielders can chip in with a few more as well and we can be reaching towards 100 in the league. After such a positive transfer window and preseason it's time to have faith and really believe in this squad. Roll on match day 1!
