Hi Eds I can't believe we haven't went for Mina of Barcelona, he looked good in the world cup.

{Ed001's Note - he played well? He was abysmal defensively, just scored a couple of goals. Not a good defender at all.}

He's got the turning circle of a battleship and moves as quick as a glacier not a good defender at all there is a reason baare getting rid after 6 months.

Ed01, couldn’t agree more about Mina. I watched a lot of La Liga last season and he only started for Barcelona when they were playing the weakest teams in the league - and even against those teams he was awful. The only positive thing to say about him is he is good in the air but he is slow and cumbersome and his positional play, decision making, ability on the ball, etc are really poor. Whatever Everton are paying for him, they have been ripped off. I can’t wait to see Sadio, Bobby and Mo embarrass him in the derby match.

{Ed001's Note - I am surprised Everton are going for him, he doesn't suit the way they play at all. I expected better of Brands.}

Ed001. I think you are under-rating Smalling. Godin is just a notch down. Only a hybrid of Maldini, Nesta, Beckenbauer can come close.

But yes, Godin is a beast of a player.

I'm glad we have no interest in Mina. He'll get you 5 goals and let in 20 in a season.

{Ed001's Note - I always thought Smalling was an hybrid of those 3? He certainly plays like he has been stitched together from odd pieces discarded from random places.}
