Folks, I am half afraid I will get shot down for this - please go easy on me.
I honestly believe we could do a lot worse than signing Jordan Ayew as backup to Firmino (should Ings and Origi leave, and Solanke can then get a loan move to find his goalscoring boots) . I really think he is the most similar player in style to Firmino in terms of pressing the opposition and setting his team mates up. Of course not at the same level of quality as Firmino, but would be a good back up that can let the rest of the system flow through as is.
What do you all think?

Sorry mate, you and I have been watching different players with the same name, I think.

I said this a while back Klopping and got shot down. I think he could be a good understudy also, but unlikely to happen.

Sturridge, Salah, Mane, probably Shakiri could all play there, Brewster is a possiblity, and that's before even thinking of changing the system to suit, we have plenty options.
Ayew should not be one of them though, and there are others in world football who could do the role way better than Ayew could, unlikely we will be buying them though or any other forward in this window.

It's a good point. There are similarities but there are better out there than ayew.

Ayew don't know what ayew are talking about.

Rather keep Origi.

I would rather Solanke and Brewster get game time than blow £20 million plus on Ayew.
