Morning Ed's and reds.

Seen a lot of fellow reds saying that with or with out Fekir, this is the best transfer window in years.
For me personally, maybe over the top but the best transfer window I can remember ever. (For Liverpool)

Curious on what others views are on our best transfer window? And I mean in the situation we are in now where we have made the signings and excited to see how they pan out not after seeing how Mo or
How Suarez has gone for a season and looking back saying wow that was a great transfer window.

Just a quick thanks and mad respect to all the Ed's for invaluable info and time they share with us to make the best site on the line. 🙏.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks.}

I think this has the potential to be the best one ever, depending on how the new players settle in.

Remember, the window has only been around for 15 or so years, so the Barnes and Beardsley summer of 1988 (? ) isn't a fair comparison.

Our best windows seem to be those where we bring in a handful of first teamers, rather than 'squad filling' which both Rafa and Rodgers have been guilty of.

Rafa's first few summer windows were great - 2004/ 5 - Garcia and Alonso, 2005/ 6 - Reina, Crouch and Momo, 2007/ 08 - Torres, Lucas and Yossi.

However, once Waldorf and Statler took over, the money dried up and Rafa wasn't able to put the finishing touches to a team that had the opportunity to challenge on so many levels - no Alves, no Silva etc.

So, I honestly think this window, ahead of 2017 when we got Salah, Ox and Robertson, is the best I have ever seen.

If you consider Keita as this summer’s signing then there’s no doubt about it - best summer window since Barnes/ Beardsley summer. Over the last 12 months we’ve needed upgrades at GK CB LB no6 and another forward. We have done all of that successfully. A massive thank you to FSG for sticking with it and learning from previous expensive mistakes. If we get Fekir then I don’t think it’ll be possible to ever match this window in terms of incoming quality.
