I think if Klopp sees Fekir as an integral piece of the jigsaw the owners will get him this window. Problem is that liverpool always seem to struggle to offload their unwanted players.

To be honest, Fabinho gives Henderson, Milner, Lallana and Keita so much freedom to get forward, that we arguably aren't that desperate for a number 10.

None of the players you mentioned are the creative player needed in tight games. They all have their strengths but that isn't one of them. The only reference you need to show the lack if creativity in midfield is England in the world cup.

I'd rather have that extra midfield creativity than not have it, but we got to the CL final without a Coutinho type in there. MK is right though, Fabinho gives the rest licence to get forward and add to the havoc the front 3 are wreaking.
It'd be nice to see Henderson weighing in with his share of goals again, he's scored some crackers in the past. Notably a pearler against Citeh.

Problem in final was we couldn't keep the ball in midfield. All our midfielders were too similar in style. It will only get you so far. I think Klopp sees this.

Red One, i don't see how England is relevant at all. They didn't take Lallana or Milner, and Henderson was playing deeper because England have no other orthodox midfielders at a decent level.

The last season Henderson played an advanced role he scored 7 and assisted 15. Milner broke the Champions League record for assists just 2 months ago. Lallana is definitely creative and most England fans I know bemoaned his absence as the reason England lacked creativity. Keita is also really creative and direct.

I don't think those guys will have any problems chipping in with goals and assists over the course of the season. There weren't many games we failed to score in last season anyway. There was quite a few that we couldn't defend a lead though. We dropped points from 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 etc. Fabinho and Keita give us a foothold in midfield to protect slender leads. Alisson gives us a reliability and calming influence at the back.

A number 10 would be preferable as there were odd games such as the Man Utd and Chelsea game where we never looked like scoring against a parked bus. You surely have to back Mane, Firmino and Salah to improve as a forward line though. They can only get better the more they play together! If it isn't working we also now have Shaqiri who can actually play as a Number 10 and offers a threat from free kicks and long shots.

I for one, won't panic if Fekir doesn't happen. It's almost a luxury now.

Rather than thinking creativity- who can play a difficult final pass?

I'd say Mane, Bobby, Mo, Naby, TAA, Shaquiri, Sturridge. Maybe Gini and Lallana too. And Milner. Fabinho I don't know.

Who can receive passes and finish? The obvious three, Naby, Shaquiri, Gini, Lallana, Sturridge, Ings and Solanke.

Would be nice to add Fekir to the mix, but not getting him is no excuse for not creating chances v parked buses.
