Morning Ed’s just wondering if one of you could shed any light on something for me (or anyone that may know to be fair)

With the seeming imminent arrival of Alisson subject to a medical I was interested to get your take on a medical for a keeper and if it differed to that of an outfield player. For example would there be more strenuous tests looking into say shoulders or hands etc or is a medical a standard thing and everyone is that rigously tested for every eventuality?

Cheers have a good one, think it could be a busy one for you guys.

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware the medical is a standard test for all players, unless there is a pre-existing known medical condition.}

The medical for a Liverpool keeper has changed slightly recently.
Instead of tapping his knee with a hammer, the doctor taps his head with it and then throws a football at him.
If he catches it, then we're good to go.

Both ankles, knees, hips and lower back as well as bloods, heart and brain/ eyes are what we check.

Cheers Ed001. it’s just one side of he game that’s never really explained or gone into detail with and thought I’d ask a question other that can you confirm a bid or is it true etc cos that’s done to death but on the other hand who do you expect to leave. no no I’m joking have a good one.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, it made a nice change.}
