Anyone else think we are over stocked with Midfield options? You would expect Fabinho Keita Hendo to start most games. We have Gini Milner Lallana Woodburn and Ox when he is fit. Not to mention Fekir if he arrives. We could do with moving a few on?

{Ed002's Note - If Fabbo, Keito and Hendo start there is no place for Fekir.}

No I don't.

I think gini might be off to Turkey although I must say I'm surprised by this. He isn't the midfielder I thought would leave and I hope he doesn't.

Just look at ucl final. We were sorely lacking in midfield energy and options. The three players Klopp has signed are all versatile as are most you have listed kloppsreds.

But there would be a place for Feko!

No seriously though, this is precisely why Gini is unsettled and wants some assurances. However, I think Fekir will be asked to play on the left of the front 3 sometimes and that tactical flexibility should give most of them enough game time. Fekir could also play at the tip of a diamond, Fabinho might play some games at right back etc etc. This is exactly the kind of depth and options that we want, although it will be a juggling act to keep everyone happy. Once Ox is back that will be even more difficult, although I'd rather we let Lallana go than Gini. Hanging onto both until January doesn't seem beyond the realms of possibility.

There is a point that you can only play 11 at a time. So maybe it’s reasonable that he wants to look at his options.

True ed. 2 out of the 3 I mentioned then plus Fekir. Rotation on other games.

Ed do you expect any midfielders to leave before season starts?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

You're right we have too many players, last in first out?

Kloppsred, it was a joke mate, just a bit of silliness that’s all.

Don't know what people want, anymore. Many were moaning (and still are) that we lacked midfield options with all the injuries piling up last season. Now, we are addressing that issue and STILL people are moaning that we may be overstocked there. Make up your minds, seriously.

Klopp will rotate the team the way he sees fit esp. when the CL games start going into the festive period so everyone will get games. Now if Wiji wants to leave to get mlore chances then that will be his choice and he has a right to assess his options. If we get Fekir, he should be NO WHERE near the flanks cos he is NOT the type of player that can play there even tho he is great in tight spaces. He should play in the no.10 behind Bobby or at the tip of the 4-4-2 diamond, the system he thrived in at Lyon.

Hi Ed002 are you stirring the pot here or do you know who is leaving.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained man.}

We might play 4231.

I f any midfielder leaves it is surely lallana, although I wouldn't like us to sell a player of such quality. After him, gini I guess, but again I'd be wary of selling a player with genuine quality.

For the first time in a long time we have some depth and competition due to improved performances and hope of actual success.

This is the year where the squad that brought us here merges with the new and it has the appearance of overstock.

Hopefully it's just certain fans adapting to a new era of squad quality.
