I said I would so here it is.

Shaqiri is signing for Liverpool and while I hoped it was media hype, I started to think it was happening about 2 weeks ago. I said I hoped he didn't sign BUT if he did I would support him.

The guy is wonderful with a dead ball, he has very good vision he is technically brilliant and pretty fast.

Oh, and he's only 26.

Why would any fan not want this player? Well that's for yesterday, we do have him. Let's hope he helps take us to the next level. It's a fantastic talent to have and although I love Adam lallana, who would I prefer to come on 8n a champions league final? An unfit lallana or Shaqiri? A fully fit lallana is a different question but my point is it gives us great depth.

I don't see one player ruining the vibe at Liverpool, in fact I can see Shaqiri thriving with it.

Attitude is the problem, he is a good player who can help us a lot. Klopp showed not once or twice he can handle bad attitude but he showed aswell he could not. let's hope he will manage him right and we will have a real talent on the bench, something we did not have in some time now.

PH again, you are having a conversation that no one else is having. You are talking about Shaq's talent and all that stuff. That has NEVER been the issue cos well, you can't be signed by Bayern who at the time was the best team in Europe if you suck at footie.

What we are talking about is his desire, attitude (of which by public record, is disgusting), work ethic (which is why Bayern got shot of him), being Billy Big Boots and being a selfish individual (go ask the Swiss team about his conduct at the Euros) . Those are the issues we are weary of and we have seen that Klopp got shot of Benteke and Sahko mainly because of their lazy and stinking attitude. If Shaq can get it together, get to work and be part of the team setup where THE TEAM comes first and remains humble then, he will thrive. If not, his talent won't save him.

You say bad attitude but when you are playing for stoke in an anti football team it's a lot to keep your head up. Hazard has an appalling attitude in negative styles.

He's knows he's an explosive player and in a counter attack team like ourselves, he will most certainly thrive.

{Ed001's Note - I hope you are right Kb.}

This is klopps call though isn’t it? Just checking for definite that this is the lad he wants and not someone else at the club. Sorry if this has been covered. Wasn’t there an issue where Rogers didn’t want firmino or Balotelli?

{Ed001's Note - Klopp has final say on every signing, as did Rodgers.}

Brover. Do you have any links to this desire and attitude being disgusting or where it says Bayern got rid because of his work ethic or being a Billy big boots according to his Swiss team mates? I would like to read them. Cheers.

So he’s officially signed now and it’s time for those who said “if he signs he’ll get my full support” to put up or shut up 🤝.

Ron, hopefully it’s the “shut up” part. Great to have so many fans who know Shaq so well that they can give us such great insights into his personality.
I wonder if Klopp knows what the guys above know about the players “disgusting” and “stinking” attitudes? Strange for our manager to buy such a horrible player, tongue firmly in cheek.

I just can't see it going wrong.

Do you remember school guys. There was always a class clown and that was me and I'm sure some of use. I was always in middle sets, not thick but not a genius per say haha so I could always make my fellow compatriots laugh and piss the teacher off.

Well there where a few occasions I'd get sent out my English class and as punishment they would send me to the strict head of English class, now he wasn't the problem because I could trigger the life out of him but do you know how hard it was to distract kids that actually wanted to learn, they would tell me to shush and stuff. Pathetic really 😂 but my point is when there is 22 other men (not children) who want to break records, win the premier league, challenge in the cups, make national teams, one player cannot upset that. Not when there is a collective determined focus.

When I got sent to those classes I actually ended up concentrating and doing my work. Peer pressure I suppose but I have the same faith that it will work with shaqiri.

I know that Brover. No offense but you missed my point entirely.

I was saying we should support him. He has not shown any bad attitude at Liverpool. I was unhappy at the prospect of signing him but did say, "if he signs I will support him" forget the talk about his attitude, "that is for yesterday" we all know about it. I was saying let's look on the bright side, he is a good player.

I found his comments about his FORMER team mates disgusting but at the end of the day he is ours and it was Stoke he was dissing not us.

Salah, mate, you missed the point too with your "well said" do you think I'm ignorant of shaqiri's attitude issues? I'm on here everyday, I'm bang into football. I'm well aware of it.

Im also aware (thanks to ed01's player profile) of his impressive medal haul. He could do a great "Mr T" impression if he wished.

Look, he's a Liverpool player and I find myself automatically loving the guy. Let's look at his talent and what he can bring to the club. If attitude becomes a problem on the future we can have a debate about it then.

But that is for tomorrow.
