Probably a bit early to ask., but what is everyone's expectation for the coming season.
I want us to win the title no more no less. I think as of today if we sort the goal keeping situation we have the best defense, best midfield and best attack of all top 6 teams.
the bench is also looking good.

I want us to win the league or at the very least be in the running as close to the end as possible. Another great run in Europe would be brilliant. Obviously a cup of any sort would be great. I do think solidifying ourselves up near the top of the league is essential to the club after so many up and down years.

The expectation can't be to win the title after we missed out by 25 points last season and came fourth. The expectation is to improve again and be best of the rest.

I want us to get somewhere in the region of 85 points. That will mean progress and place us in the best position to take advantage if City underperform.

{Ed002's Note - The expectation since the owners arrived is the win the Premier League.}

Hard to predict to be honest. On the back of Salah having the greatest goal scoring season of every premier league player ever, and we still only managed fourth. We need a world class keeper for me, only Then we can look like closing the 957 point lead City got.

Buy fekir and go win the league. Take that over europe anyday. Cup would be nice too.

How many points did Karius cost us in the Premiership last season?
Just throwing money at a goalkeeper will not bridge the points gap between us and City.

Eventually Ed, we'll get there.

Solidify top 4 and a cup at least.

A GK from the top shelf and I'm expecting the PL-title. Keita and Fabinho will give so much to the team, quality and rotation.

Current GK staff: top 4 and FA-cup. QF/ SF of Champions too.

League.

Nothing else. Where liverpool football club.

We might not win it but we expect nothing else. Especially with this squad that we are still assembling ;)

Win the league for me. I don't buy into the "we finished 4th last year, improvement will be above 4th". by that logic, only teams that finish 2nd the previous season would have a chance to win the league.

We've spent big to improve the squad, we've got an established way of playing, and Champions League run and World Cup summer will have pumped up some players. If we don't win it and finish higher than 4th, I won't say its a bad season, but I want that f&@king trophy!

My expectation is top 4.
My hope is the title though.
Depending on transfers and a lot of luck I don’t think the title is out of reach this coming season.

In reality if City repeat last season, which they may, no one else will get close. So I'm going to be bold, 90 points at the end of the season. If that doesn't win the league then the team that does has earned it. Plus another big run in the CL and a domestic cup win. The squad is coming together and that should be a target.

In the league we have the best attack our middlefield is top 3 and our defence is only better than arsenal.

15.) 13 Jul 2018
13 Jul 2018 14:44:02
If our defence is so bad and our "middlefield" is so good, why is Klopp looking at midfielders like Keita and Fekir?
Our defence took a big upgrade with Mad Dog and Van Dijk. They need experience together that only comes with playing time.

Top Three and a Cup Final, where we win of course .

Karius did not cost us any points last season. In fact, he saved us a point (or 3 had the ref not messed up) by having a brilliant game vs Spurs and saved Harry Kane's penalty that would have made it 2-1 to Spurs and a defeat, for sure. Just stating facts.

Now regarding the target for next season, we need to improve in ONE major area: Points lost from winning positions. No matter who we sign or what calibre of GK (a red herring really cos many average GK's have won trophies for their teams), we have to stop peeing away points the way we have been doing in the last two seasons.

This means we have to manage games better, stop playing this 5 at the back trying to hold the lead cos it NEVER works and do a much better job of keeping the ball in midfield in the latter stages of games. If we can do this, we won't be far from winning the title and/ or winning a Cup, IMO.

Since VVD came in and Robbo settled we were just as good as city bar the last 6 games when we had no option just to rest players for the CL.

With a the midfield additions we have made and another few signing to come we should be thinking about winning the title. We showed city we can do em on the day last season which just adds to confidence. We need to do well against our rivals this season as we struggled against them away from home especially and drew when we should have beaten, Spurs, Chelsea and Utd at Anfield.

Title is realistic as we are every bit as good as city. That and a good run in CL again. YNWA.

Predicting we would have lost a game to Spurs had Karius not saved the penalty is not stating Facts Brover mate. That's just an opinion.
