think my first kit was the yellow version with crown paints on it around 84/ 85. it was the only thing i would allow myself to go to PE in, loved it!

My first ever football shirt was a Chelsea shirt my mum got me from the Charity Shop. I still sick a little in my throat when I see the photos of 5 year old me, completely clueless at what I was being made to wear. Dark days. Mum is still in the doghouse for that. It'll be in my speech at her funeral as the only time she let me down.

First shirt I asked for was when I was about 12 years old and I got the 06/ 07 home kit with Gerrard on the back. I got the third kit from that year with my own name on the back too. The one that was white but had a bottle green splash down one side. Loved that kit.

Since then I just get a home kit every 3 years (sod paying £80 a season to indulge sponsors), and every black kit they produce.

I get every home kit every year now since 2006 the year my first son was born. Probably wear once only and then cover in plastic. They will be keepsakes for my boys. No names or numbers. Sometimes I look back through. We've had some beauties and some not so great, but I love them all.

Former dog now, but yeah that is a picture of me and my Mrs when I was 22 and she was 18. I'm 24 now and a bit more bald 😂.
