Delighted for Lovern he was emmence tonight . 1 shot on goal tonight for England in a big game like that you'd think Southgate would have played Harry Kane 😁.

{Ed0333's Note - that made me chuckle mate. Lovrens revenge 9 months later. I love Lovren he has heart, passion and fortitude. If he can just concentrate more we have a world class center back in our ranks. I must say I love his buddy Vida what a warrior he is, industrial and small physically but is no nonsense, would love us to sign him. DVD, LOVREN and VIDA as our center backs would be pretty decent.

Lovren was brilliant especially in the 2nd half and extra time. What made it sweeter was that the rat Neville, downed him at every opportunity before the game and at half time. Well done Dejan you shut him up by the end and kept Kane in you're pocket.

Imagine if Lovren wasn't a Liverpool player and you could sign Lovren or Vida, who would it be? it'd be Lovren any day for me, he is by far the better defender. I know Lovren isn't world class or anything but I really believe Vida is far too overrated.

If you go booking players for what Lovren did in that first half you'll have loads of games finishing 8 a side. It's a contact sport, a man's game.
Far more preferable than watching prima donnas rolling the width of the pitch after having their hair rustled out of place.

Spot on, Ed and the OP. Lovren has bee top 5 CB in the WC behind Varane, Kompany, Vertonghen and Umtiti. He is mentally togh, aggressive, determined and very talented in terms of raw ability. He has ALL the tools to be a top CB and as the Ed said, if he could just fix what is btw his ears, he would be a great one. Harry Kane got Lovren on a bad day at Wembley BUT he has grown to be very good since then even shutting down CR7 in a CL final, something the vaunted Chielini, Bonnucci could not do. Vida? Not sure about him. Neville must be missing some teeth now after the pummeling Lovs gave his golden boy Kane.

{Ed0333's Note - I have lost all respect for Harry Claim to be honest after his nefarious act last season. Swearing on his daughters life to claim a goal is just cringeworthy. Great player tho not disputing that.

Agree with you Ed0333, Lovren's attitude towards the game is immense. The guy gives his 100% every time. Only if he could avoid the lapses and be more consistent.

Ed033, I see a bit of skrtel in vida. Same type of baltic battler.

When we played spurs at Wembley kane fouled lovren for 2 of their goals. Both going for headers and kane pushed lovren with his body, just as its coming in, ducks under it and was away. He couldn't do that last night coz of VAR. I also think being captain he doesn't want to misbehave. Another reason not to give him the arm band. Can't believe he missed that sitter. On his right foot, 4 yards out. He should have scooped it into the roof of the net.

{Ed0333's Note - I’ve lost all respect for Kane after his nefarious attempt at claiming a goal last season so I’m more than happy to bash him when the situation arrives. Grudges aside I think he’s about as useful as an ice lolly in hell as a captain he offers nothing. He cheated all throughout this tournament play acting and feigning. He is a great scorer of great goals but he has the awful ability to miss absolute gimmes, I hope he continues with that trend. With regards to Vida I think he would be an excellent back up, your right Hendo a battler and a never say die attitude. He’ll spill blood for you something I’m pretty sure Matip won’t do.
