Can we all stop moaning about Shaqiri.

We all agree the talent is there. he's 26 now and this is his last chance to join a big club.
Yes he will want a place in the starting 11 but that doesn't mean he will get one! if his head is right then its added competition for our front 3 which can only be a good thing + we need depth anyway.

If his attitude is wrong or he doesn't try then he will sit on the bench, reserves wherever. The rest of our squad are not a bunch of fairies they will not all be effected if one man comes in and has a sulk that he's not playing.

We are hoping to play a lot of games this season so Shaqiri will get plenty of game time even if he is not first choice.

Hopefully the massive step down from Bayern to Stoke will have done something about his ego and he realises this may be his last chance at a big club.

He might work hard then to stay at this level.

Or maybe wishful thinking on my part.

I would personlly rather we went for someone else like Brandt, but if we do go for him then so be it - the guy does have the proven ability to do something special and he’s not coming in as a starter so worst case he sulks and gets sat in the reserves or out the door faster than you can say Sakho.

Shaqiri wouldn't be my first pick, but at 13mil he is worth the gamble 100% - stop worrying about his attitude etc, that is not our concern, let klopp and his team deal with that.

We need to remember how weak our bench was in the champions league final. The injury to Salah killed us, we had to bring on Lallana who had barely kicked a ball in a year!

If we had brought on someone with Shaqiri's quality instead then just maybe things could of been different.

Irish, the step do n from INTER has not made him more humble. Look at his comments when Stoke were in the middle of a relegation battle.
