Stressing with work and missing self induced deadlines. You can always tell when I’m at my busiest- that’s when I’m on here posting most. Apart from that I’m cool and the gang. Thanks for asking.

What do you guys think of arsenals chances next year? 4 signings already but none worry me, leitchsteiner is well past it, sokratis is getting on and haven't heard much too good about Leno. Seems to be addressing their weak points, and not really seen torreira but the quality doesn't seem to push them to the next level. Although what they seem to lack most is spirit and maybe they will bring that along with the obvious quality they have in areas.

Emery is a very good manager and a very good coach. he has shown that he can get the best out of the players he has judging by his good record with Valencia (CL footie while in financial dire straits) and Sevilla. His PSG record should be looked at with a pinch of salt cos we all know the drama that goes on there esp. with the dreadful Neymar in that DR. Emery plays a variant of the high press system as well BUT whether Arsenal players who were there before his arrival, is another issue. We shall see.

Cheers ed

169 goals in 190 ain't to shabby. Some record that.

Refs at their work again. Surprise surprise.

{Ed001's Note - it was a lot of refs as well!}

Yep I’m all good Barry. Just manic busy mate. Set up a new indie publishing house with my wife this year (she has a bit of experience in that world) and we have three big book projects scheduled out this year. One is already out and one of these months it'll start making money- I feel it in my bones🤣😉🤣 the second is in final editing, I’m just awaiting artwork but the last is onely half way through the first draft. I’ve got a few events and media “things” coming up for Christmas so I’m under a fair amount of pressure to put some words together. This site would take up all my time if I let it and sometimes I just let it with zero regrets. At some point when I’ve got enough reviews under my belt I’ll let you guys know the full story. As of now some trolls having a laugh could do damage to a fledgling company. Ed2 kindly said I could plug it at some point and I totally will but not until it’s available in all territories.

They have some good players who should've been performing better than they did. However, I think the arsenal job is a harder one than it looks and I don't think he will turn it around straight away. His signings seem a bit underwhelming.

Much appreciated mates, I’ve a tough couple years ahead but it’s doing something which I’m passionate about so I really couldn’t be asking for more than that really. well that and a decent dental plan but hey, brushing my teeth once a month should be more than enough to keep ahead of those problems. The stinging sensation every time I drink water is normal right?

{Ed001's Note - I really hope it works out for you mate.}

Aoe, what is the book that's out mate. I love to read and actually have ambitions of becoming a novelist. I'm at uni doing a degree in English lit and creative writing. I know nothing about getting published but have written many short stories.

Yeah I'd be interested in reading the book you've published. What genre is it?

Fair enough if you don't want to talk about it.

Prince hendo mate, if you are writing anything you are already halfway there. I fell into it through different circumstances. We’re launching a full add campaign for the first book in the next week or so (she knows all that crap so it’s her call) so I’ll probably post then. The first is a (Flavor of the month) hi fantasy novel which admittedly is my passion. It’s part of a 4 part cycle that I’ve almost completed (3 of 4)but haven’t even begun to bring to my INCREDIBLY expensive editor. I intend to release them over the next 2 to 3 years and hope I can build some sort of following to keep the wolves from the door. Fantasy is a massive genre but it’s absolutely not everyone’s cup of tea. The second is a satirical take on that dirty term “fake news”. It’s called “the little book of lies” it’ll be out soon enough. And my far cheaper editor adored it which is high praise. As for getting published by a publisher, I can offer some solid advice- send manuscripts to an editor first and prepare to get your heartbroken. Obliterated would be a better term. Once you pick up the pieces, learn from it. I thought my first manuscript was the bees knees with a few bits to tidy up. One editor’s assault later and a dark weekend I can barely remember apart from dancing ninjas and android cactuses, I went back and rewrote the entire book 3 times over. As for sending out manuscripts, be very wary and wear thick skin. I got back a few nice emails of houses wanting to do deals and had I not had an experienced person to guide me, I could have walked in to an incredibly bad deal on excitement alone. Uuuugh, I hate to say it but get an online presence first before anything else. Cheers for taking an interest mate, at some point down the road, I’m pushing into doing tutoring for the experiences I’ve earned on this heartbreaking road, so I’d be honored to take a read through anything you have. (As soon as I get back on course for hitting my deadlines) I have a few people I’m advising at the moment and their biggest issue, is they just can’t write. I know phenomenal talents that just can’t write beyond 2 chapters. They just stop even though they still have a fantastic story to tell. Just keep writing mate and it’ll keep getting better. Look at me, all life coach crap and everything.
