A goal is a goal ed025, you just have to play what is in front of you.

{Ed025's Note - i know that DRM but getting excited over a goal against chester seems a bit OTT to me mate..

I'm with Ed25 there, I'm happy for the lad to grab a couple of goals but let's be honest, so he should against Chester. I want to see him more against a top team to see how he get's on. I rate the lad a lot I really do but I don't think he's ready for our level just yet, if it was up to me I'd give him another season out on loan to one of the promoted clubs, get him some PL experience and then come back and smash it.

If he's given his chance with us now then fair enough and the best of luck to him but I don't want to see the lad sat on the bench doing nothing all season, it's unfair on him. If he goes out on loan and is patient enough then I see him really making a name for himself at Liverpool, he just needs to learn more and is young enough to do so.

Be all and end all, what do I know? I support whatever decision the club makes for the lad. His future looks very promising, an exciting young player so fingers crossed for him.

{Ed025's Note - i think another loan is the way forward salah, i love to see young players breaking through but they have to learn their trade and be ready...for me young wilson is still a bit green mate..

I don’t think we should get carried away with Wilson but pre season is a chance to say don’t buy another forward you have me in the squad. He can only score against what’s in front of him, I would personally have him in and around the team and see if he takes his oppurtunity, he is up against mane salah and Bobby which is no easy challenge.

But if he is behind me those three and origi a loan in the PL makes sense.

Just taking about the nature of his finishes. Thought they were well taken!

It’s not so much the fact he scored against Chester Ed it’s the way he took the goals. Looks to have that steely calmness in front of goal. Unlike someone like Sterling who panics with an open goal 2 yards out and slices it wide.

I agree its was against Chester. But as a Striker on my days. The 1st finish in particular was brilliant regardless of who it's against. To have that split second composure to calmly lift it over defender and gk like that was harder than he made it look. Anyone who's been in same position will agree, 90% of players just put foot through that and more often than not will score that chance. Same with 2nd one he controls it on his thigh, and hits it straight away, you can see gk has no time to even set himself to make a save. even though the ball is very close to him. If you have watched him over last 2 seasons in u23s you will have seen the lad has fantastic ability in front of goal. A loan might be the best path i agree, but the ability is there let's hope attitude and consistency to play at top level is also.

I Agree with Ed025 here.

{Ed001's Note - please don't do that, even if he is right it just gets him over excited when someone agrees with him.}

Hi ed025 sorry I don't want to sound negative but its like you think lookman is not ready for Everton you loan your best winger. I want him to succeeded and I think without trusting you wouldn't find out whether they are good or not. I know my opinion don't matter and klopp is under tremendous pressure from so called us fans that he now is not taking too much risk by giving youth chance and rather buy readymade proven player.
Also our fans start bashing young players after one or two poor performance while it is imperative that young players prone to mistake and learn from them.
Those fans who really try to care about young players always like a loan to this team that team will be good nobody is ready to give players time.

{Ed025's Note - your right hope unless they get a shot we will never know, the reverse side of that is throwing them in at the deep end and shattering their confidence, its a big call and one only the manager can make but without the likes of the lookman,s and wilsons of this world the future of the national game is in doubt, im glad its not my call mate..

Yeah ed but composure is a skill in itself.

He didn't score a banger against a poor gk.

He was in front of goal, kept his cool and just dunked it over the keeper. Confident.

Solanke and origi where rash in front of goal and both might be kept over him. Don't u derestimate the ability to put the ball in the net.

{Ed025's Note - against players who are part time bus drivers or work at Mcdonalds most of the week it does not really mean much mate..

And if Ed025 get's excited then the tissues appear.

{Ed025's Note - most of us are like that barry and its nothing to be ashamed of mate..

Ed25 is correct. Harry Wilson is a talented footballer BUT to play for Klopp as Ed01 has said, there are other aspects to his game that he has to work on like off-the-ball work, finding space in tight areas etc and going on loan would help him a lot, as Ed25 has said. Also, calm down people. It was only against Chester.

{Ed025's Note - thats the worry brover that he will get hyped up so much that even an average game could end up with him being abused by supporters, just let him develop in his own time and have a bit of patience i say mate..

If we don't sign someone to cover the left and right foward positions id prefer that wilson stays.

If that's the case i think he will get enough game time over the season (providing he performs of course) plus a full season training with the first team.

But if he is loaned out it needs to be to a team that plays something similar in style to liverpool. Otherwise he's coming back after a year out and still not ready to play the way klopp likes.

Id much prefer woodburn to be loaned out this season. He needs a full season of first team football.

On another note i like the way klopp handles youth players. They seem hungry and eager to play for the club. He is a hard man to please and the young kids know talent alone isn't enough to get them their chance. Graft and work ethic and determination ain't bad things for any young kid to have drilled into them.

{Ed002's Note - Origi can also provide cover.}

Noones hyping him ed just noting that he was calm as a cucumber in front of goal and the op said he must of been watching Salah.

I added that composure is a skill not to be underestimated. It's not learnt, you either have it or you don't. Him having it is a good thing and something that will serve him well on what should be his next loan because he is nowhere near ready yet for first team football with us.

{Ed025's Note - i agree that hes not ready KB but composure and awareness can be taught and develops with experience mate..

He is going to be a star. Fantastic player, thought we'd resigned torres till I saw he had 2 knees.

He is still green but so was trent at the beginning of last season. If I were klopp I'd go for it. Instead of a new striker keep solanke, instead of an Am keep Woodburn and instead of a winger keep Wilson. Klopp would get some stick if it didn't come off but next season when the lads have all had another full season playing in the 1st team they will smash it.

We have a brilliant first 14/ 15 and I honestly think the three I've mentioned could easily become a part of a decent 17/ 18.

Id prefer origi stays central. Id much prefer wilson in a right foward role than origi. Out of the two i think wilsons game is better suited to the position.

As far as backup to bobby goes id have solanke and brewster ahead of origi simply because i get the feeling his days are numbered.

Hope im wrong and he has a stormer pre season but i think he's a decent bid away from leaving and id rather players that are in the long term thinking get the minutes.

{Ed002's Note - It would simply be an option.}

Lol. Kloppsboss says, quite rightly, no one is getting hyped ed025, just saying how cool he was" and very next post is me going "fantastic player, going to be a star" I'm an idiot.

I think he should try for the 1st team. Take his chance as I think he could. Played a lot of football last season.

{Ed025's Note - he may well do so in time PH, just not yet i feel mate..

Agreed. Definately an option. Id like to see him stay. He is hard to handle when he is on top form.

The injury killed his momentum.

Would like to see what he could do in our front line if one of the other 3 were missing.
