Be interesting to see Gini's reaction to some serious competition in midfield for places.

I think he might rise to the challenge, myself. He's had to play way too defensively because Can, Lallana and Milner don't have the intelligence to shield the defence, but we all know that Gini is best when he is running at people and getting into the opposition box.

Hopefully having 3 players in Hendo, Keita and Fabinho who can all defend will give Gini the confidence to take more risks and express himself. It's too easy to forget that Gini is capable of scoring 15 goals a season from midfield or even score 4 goals inns single game! That was the player we signed, but he's been a victim of his own versatility and ability to follow instruction. Klopp certainly won't be pushing out a player he trusts enough to play him at centre back.

100% agree MKS.
Wijnaldum has often had to play a fire fighting role, coming in to cover for others.
He may still have to, of course, but having a dedicated DM behind him would help his game.
His mobility suits our midfield and style of play.

Agreed MK. Iv always felt Gini had more to offer going foward than he sometimes displays and I love to see him driving foward from midfield cus he’s quite good at it, although he doesn’t always pick the right pass. I’m happy he have Gini as he seems to have a great attitude and would be good either starting or from the bench.

I fear Ginis time has come to an end with lfc klopp can't get the best out of him. If a decent offer comes in he needs to go. Unfortunate as I actually like the fella but for the sake of his career he has to find a more suitable team for his talents.

Each to their own Walter, but I don't think we've seen the best of Gini in red just yet mate.

Personally think he will be a casualty as he's not the same level as the new players. He could well leave over the next few windows.

Milner, Hendo, Keita, Fabinho, plus a new attacking mid will all be ahead of him.

Walter hopefully you reply to me
please explain how it would be better for Gini career if he left
Only 3 players made more appearances then him in the league last season Mane Firminho and Salah being the three.
I would have thought the best thing for a players career is to have a manager who believes in him and also being at a team which is moving forward as Liverpool most obviously is
.
Sometimes mate you need to have a think before your post as it sometimes comes across as just disagreeing for the sake of it with no reasonable point to back up your comments imo.

I'm pretty sure Wiji will be relying on injuries to get game time. He's certainly behind Hendo, AOC, Keita and Fabinho, I'd put him behind (a fit) Lallana and we've probably got another first 11 midfielder coming in.

Gini has the ability, when the Ox went off injured in the champs league game, he came on and was like a man possessed! One of his best performences by far.

He just needs to be more consistent and not go missing when we play away!

John crow junior as I said I like the fella but as other posters have said he won't get much game time with the arrivals of new players.
It would be a waste of the players talents to sit on the bench for as much as he would this season.
I think a player of his age should be playing every week if he fits into the team. Unfortunately he won't get in this team much.

John crow I hope that is a response worthy of my statement. I genuinely think you just disagree with my posts because you don't like my name.
Anyhow I hope we all enjoy the season and achieve my prediction of 3rd or better.

Walter my post has nothing to do disliking you or your name fella I don't even know you so how can I dislike you lol
Your original posts states Klopp can't get the best out if Gini
and also that he needs to find a more suitable team for his talents
Neither of your replies explains these comments or how you came to them.
Your mention other posters in trying to explain but as per usual you have not posted a sound reason for the comments I mention above
How you can predict how much game time Gini will get is beyond me.
It is like there won't be injuries suspension or squad rotations
There you go Walter for my comments I have provided a reason why
imo Gini is a very valued and very versatile member of the squad and someone who Klopp likes hence why he played him so much last season.

Good response johncrow but I fail to see how you don't understand my reasons. I can't really explain better than he should be playing 90mis every week he will be lucky to play 15.
This is why I think he should go elsewhere. Even if there are injuries and suspensions he still won't be getting many starts.
I guess we will see by the end of the season how many starts mins he gets. I actually hope you are correct but doubt you are.
Anyhow enjoy you're evening and keep posting.

Klopp had an eye on Gini for a long time before he signed him, he knows what he's got there. I doubt Gini will be going anywhere anytime soon.
And we're trying to build a winning squad, so we should let a damned good squad member go?
Great logic that.

Neg red every great team has players on the bench that want to play every game and would walk into other teams first 11. That’s what makes a great squad.

Walter very rarely see the logic in squads he only see the first 11 players and nothing else im afaid.
