He put in some really good crosses yesterday. Only if Hummels could remember how to head the ball.

I think people hate Ozil because he looks too relaxed. Even in 95th minute yesterday - Germany down 2-0 - he didn't seemed rushed.

I saw Pirlo actually get out of the way of Sterling running with the ball in one game for Italy, a cardinal sin imo, something Ozil has never done. People never even mentioned it or worried about it. Ozil covers more ground, does more work and creates more chances and assists than just about any other player, yet he is crucified because he is not tackling back like Kante. Unreal.}

The way modern opinions of players seems to work is some wannabe pundit makes a comment, and then it's just a fact that everyone knows. Like Hendo (and Joe Allen before him) and his supposed 'only ever passing sideways and backwards'

Yeah I thought Ozil was one of Germany's better players yesterday. He was always looking to create something but (as far as I could see) had next to zero movement in front of him.

Ozil is one of my favorite players, his vision and touch are absolutely superb, and he does work harder than people think. Would love to see him at Liverpool though of course know that will never happen.

@tc77 - or how he didn't select Leroy Sane at all. Offers something Germany didn't really have yet couldn't even make the squad - if he gets sacked it is all of his own doing.

To be fair ed.

I was disgusted with Messi and not tracking back. He did once they where 2-1 up made two great tackles. People think he has earned that status. Nope. No player has the god given right to not leave everything on the pitch. Even Messi and Ronaldo although they do it they really shouldn't be.

Ozil might create loads of chances but when defending he should really be gusting a gut. Not just strolling what because he makes some good pases. There is no excuse.

It just leaves yo7 one man down in the team and no player is that good attacking wise for that to be happening.

Would people be pleased if we signed ozil? Some saying it would never happen but we signed keita and are interested in assensio. I wouldn't say it was the least likely transfer in the world. We have nicked arsenal's top 4 spot and ozil needs to be in ucl, we have a German manager and German staff and he plays in a position we are trying to fill.
