Everyone knows you shouldn't judge a player by good world cup performances. But, if you were going to, who has grabbed people's attention apart from the obvious Ronaldo, de bryne etc.

I quite like the pace of sarr for Senegal. I think leckie looks sharp too. The Russian left winger too I quite like.

Nagatomo has looked good at LB.

Don’t know his name but the rb for Peru looks good. Bleached hair, pacy and good decision making from the 2 games I have seen.

Pretty much every player at Peru imo- they’ve played blinding football in a difficult group. A little luck and composure and they could have had better results. They go out but for me their two matches so far have been the highlight.

Leckie? As in Leckie Legs? He would do a job on any back 4 in any team.

The Everton guy between the posts looks like a keeper.

Carrillo is the guy klucas. Great in build up play but looks like he's dealing with a grenade in the box though. Same as much of the the rest of Peru, too much excitement, no composure.

Golovin is the obscure one that's caught my eye. Make's Russia tick. Skilful, can pass, shoot, cross. Looks good.

Main fella though is Lozano of Mexico. Looks like a star in the making, this lad. Fast as you like, can beat a man, shoot, is skilful etc, but mostly I love his work ethic. One block against South Korea was a joy. When the guy lined up his shot he was nowhere to be seen, then he appeared like a bullet and the Korean ended up kicking Lozano's boot because the ball was long gone. This from a winger giving his all for his country. Whether it translates in club football, I have no idea, but very impressed so far.
