A little message from benny:

Well where do i start, been a long slog over the last 8 months, but today went of without any hitches.

Everyone turned up, which was my biggest fear, so thank you all for playing. Seeing 24 strangers instantly know each other, was the weirdest thing i've ever experienced.

I want to thank each player individually, and i hope i did that today. For here i want to thank our two captains, Pete and Ken. Brilliant role models for the rest of us today, and set the tone for a strong competitive ( but fair ) game.

£730 has been raised so far, which is brilliant, and will be split between seva and macmillan, however i want to hit my target of £1000, so if there are any last minute donations, please send them to my paypal (go fund me took £20 of the £300 raised there, not too happy)

It was a pleasure to be there yesterday with my boy and to score. Glad we raised the target for the 2 charities. Charity is close to my heart, I do a fair bit each year.

I did tell a few lads at the game my story. Back in 2012 my youngest boy was only 3 but was born with cerebral palsy (brain damage), we found a surgery in the USA that would help him have a better life, however it would cost about 80k. I posted on this site with the donation page and loads of the LFC fans helped to get to the mammoth 80k. A lot of words above but just wanted to reiterate that the ‘YNWA’ really does mean something and the ‘brotherhood’ feeling on this site.

Cheers Baz.
