Just to weigh in on the goalkeeper situation, I’m seeing people unhappy that we missed out on Alisson, he wanted Madrid so we move on.
But I understand Alisson is a good keeper, very good in fact. But if we got him who’s to say it was guaranteed to work out? Whoever we get as our goalie next season, whether that’s karius or another will be under the spotlight from the first second. For all we know Alisson might have crumbled under the pressure.
My point is nothing in football is guaranteed even if you spend north of 60m on a player so we need to back whoever the club purchase.
Who we get is anyone’s guess but there must be more choice than Alisson and Oblak, I could be wrong but I don’t remember Ederson being a huge name before joining city last year.
Personally as long as the keeper can keep the ball out of the net and organise a defence the other attributes like distribution will be a bonus. Our keepers biggest deficiency last season was unforced errors, that’s the bit we need to cut out before we can think of a sweeper keeper and one that can hit a 60 yard pass.

I just read that the president of Roma should have said that he just said that Alisson was goung to Real in a fun and sarcasmic way.

I agree with you globally, WYRed. Klopp will stick w/ Karius if he cannot get his man or an upgrade which to me, is the right decision cos signing some GK as a bandaid is a non starter, IMO. If Karius is no. 1, we will see if he can come back mentally from what happened to him in the final BUT that will also depend on how he is received by the fans as that will be the key to all of this.
