One for ed001 if your around mate, away from all the transfer talk, what was your opinion on Yossi Benayoun as a player? Just curious as to know because I remember signing him from West Ham if I was correct and I used to think he was a great player, who might be actually still playing today? Thanks ed!

{Ed001's Note - he was an excellent player for us, worked his backside off and had some lovely silky skills. He just didn't play enough, though that was not all his fault.}

I loved Benayoun. I was gutted when we sold him to Chelsea. Always popped up with important goals. could beat 3 or 4 players. Last Minutes goals in the 4-4 with Arsenal and the 1-0 against Fulham spring to mind for me.

Liked him, moved like water. At times however he used to take too many touches on the ball.

I think Yossi back then would be brilliant in the today.

{Ed001's Note - yes!}

I liked him a lot one little niggle I had with him he always went to his right even when it was the harder option. I think he would have be good in this current squad.
I think he left a year or 2 too early.

My favourite moment of Yossi is him popping up with the header that silenced the Bernabeu back in 2009.

Such a classy and underrated player.

Yossi was a brilliant player, one who would thrive under Klopp today as his enthusiasm and dedication were top notch. Better than Lallana? Yossi is the player Lallana wishes he could be. He is not a patch on Yossi in any way, IMO.

I liked it when David Pleat called him Benny Noon.
