if ed001 is around may i ask you what was your take on daniel agger as a player and what is your take on his time at lfc?

{Ed001's Note - he was an excellent defender, one of those players that makes others better. Just a shame he suffered so badly with injuries. Loved his loyalty as well.}

I loved Agger. I loved that he loved this club and that he was a classy defender, just a shame about the injuries.

Agger was a fantastic player and man, was gutted when he left. A true Liverpool great imo. If it hadn't been for his injuries he could've been one of the best.

Fabulous player. Read the game so well and was so comfortable on the ball! With the way managers are obsessed with making defenders play out from the back now a days he would be an ideal player to show to young defenders, he made it look so natural and never got himself into trouble by being confident with the ball at his feet.

Agreed, probably liverpool best defender since Hypia, not counting Vvd and carra would have something to say about that. He had a sweet left foot. He's like the player John stones wishes he was.

Hard too, no nonsense and daunting for opposition on corners i bet

Plying fifa, when the commentator says "agger" I had to say "do do do"

I thought his defending was over-rated.
He was good on the ball, no doubt, but he was often out of position and beaten in the air.
Great lad though. 👍.

Whenever my boy would go to Melwood for an autograph, Agger was the one player who would consistently stop.

I always thought he was a little too weak in the air.

Hero of mine, loved his attitude and dedication to the club. Injuries robbed him of a longer career at Anfield.
