Is there any reason why LFC have not announced the deal is off. Do they do this type of thing as they have released statmemtd before regarding claims/ rumours concerning players etc.

I will continue to believe the deal is still on after WC until lfc say otherwise. So the question is if it was off would you expect an official statement?

Like you said maybe they are wanting to wait until after the world cup. we could buy him now and then boom first game his knee goes and he's out for the season.

Things happen for a reason. be patient :)
