For the price it's a win win for me.

It is his attitude that worries me. I can accept a lesser player for a reduced fee to give us depth. But not when that player is known for being arrogant and disruptive. If he caused a dressing room melt down and it dented our form even slightly, then that £12m would start to look like a very expensive mistake.

He isn't good enough to justify the risks in my opinion. If he signs, I'll back him as he clearly has some ability; but I'd be worried.

Understand your worries 100%, just think if he's disruptive sell him in Jan for more than we paid.

Defo a slight concern over attitude
And consistency but he has moments of real quality and would be a good addition to our squad if Klopp believes Wilson isn’t good enough to step up. Personally I’d
Love to see Wilson break through rather than sign Shaqiri. However like everyone else I will back Klopps decision and get behind whoever pulls on the shirt.

listen I am no fan of this guy by any stretch but where has all this attitude and bad apple in dressing room chat come from?
has this ever been mentioned before at any other clubs?
has any manager ever come out and said this about him?
or is this just people assuming he has like they did with Mane?
Personally if he signs I will be happy but there are a lot more better players players out there but not for 12m (im assuming it is 12m btw)

Here's what Shaqiri said about his 'team mates' in March:

“The feeling that even a Ronaldinho could do little in this team is sobering"

“I had to realise that it’s a bit different when you have players like Ribery and Thiago at Bayern or Icardi and Kovacic at Inter. "

“Here at Stoke I cannot exert too much influence, simply because there is a lack of quality around me. ”

Some way to inspire your team mates, that! He is a disgrace. I'm shocked Shawcross didn't knock his massive ego off his plump little body. His arrogance knows no bounds and when be should've been trying to lift his team mates up, he was in Switzerland slugging them off in the media, consigning them to relegation without a fight, and refusing to accept any of the blame. I'd spit on the ground he walks on if he was my team mate.

There’s a reason he’s ended up at stoke. and it’s not lack of ability.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool would not be serving a transfer ban if they did not think Stoke had some talent.}

As someone who has followed Bayern Munich since I was 9 and have relatively monitored our players, I can say signing Shaqiri will be a major mistake.
I'm a Nigerian and some persons here may not remember Japan 1993. We won and our best players were Wilson Oruma and Kanu. Kanu worked his socks off after the tournament, had several heart operations and came back stronger. I'm sure most persons don't know who Oruma is. He thought he'd made it after Japan 93 and became lazy. Thought he was too skillful to be benched. He didn't change till he was in his 30s.
Shaqiri is lucky to be in an era of huge TV/ social media exposure. Else, he would probably not be talked about by anyone. He's a talented waste of space.

Well he's not far wrong with his assessment of the players at Stoke, idiotbfor making it public though.

Pretty strong words and not impressed but be honest MK if you went from lahm to shawcross and muller to Sadio B YOU WOULD BE UPSET AS WELL LOL
his talents deserve a bigger stage then stoke but he went there in the first place so can only blame himself imo.

Ed, I’m sure stoke do have some talent, my point was more directed towards shaqs career, Bayern, inter, stoke- there is downward trajectory there.

{Ed002's Note - And now Liverpool - maybe you have a point.}
