Watching Sterling play for England makes me think that even in these over inflated times, £50m was daylight robbery. He makes great runs but can’t shoot or pass. I don’t get why he is in England team even with so little options.

Coz he scored 18 goals for City last season.

To be fair it must be so depressing to go from Sane, Aguero and De Bruyne to playing with Young, Kane and Dier 😂.

Playing in City side anyone could score. But I just don’t see any development since he left Liverpool with potential. I think he left Liverpool as good as he will get. We got good money for potential that didn’t happen.

I doubt City care a damn about him either. As long as he keeps scoring he will be playing. When the rain stops he goes back to the bench! Simples.

i agree, sterling is well overrated. He is so similar to other young hopefuls we have had that can run at speed of light but after a few years they fade into nothing more than an ok squad player or impact sub.

Overrated or not his bank balance and trophy cabinet will be looking healthy.

He got more league goals than Firmino or Mane.

{Ed0333's Note - and just imagine if he could finish

He's a fantastic player whose composure can desert him but gets into great positions and makes great runs. Improved leaps under Guardiola in my opinion. I'd much rather still have him in the team than have that £50m.

And no not anyone does as well as he has in that City side, Pep is willing to sacrifice anyone not good enough. Nolito left a year after he arrived, you have to stay on top of your game to keep your place in that City side.
