I'm getting excited thinking about our mf next season and the options we could have.

Ox coming back in, Keita, Fabinho, possibility of a CAM player like Fekir, Chiverella coming up from the younger lads. Plus Hendo and Milner.

I think Gini and Lallana will look to go.

But having that depth in MF is what we have been missing for years.

Would be nice to sign a attacking player to rotate with mane or salah when needed :)

Very exciting stuff though!

Gini won’t go. I’m surprised so many don’t see what he brings to the team. He will be rotated like all the rest and will be happy with that. Lallana will go and maybe Milner. Chiravella won’t get much if a look in and may leave, if not in the summer, in January. Karius will leave.

You guys forgot about the Big OX.

Chiverella will need to leave, we can't buy that many players and have him play next to no games. His deserves to play first-team football somewhere and we'd just hold him back.

Milner is 30+, I'd still like him and Lallana to stay because they're still options off the bench/ rotate but if they want to leave then I'd wish them all the best.

I expect it’ll be Fabinho and Hendo in deeper/ more defensive roles, Keita, Milner and Gini in more box to box, and then Ox and hopefully Fekir in more attacking roles and able to cover the wingers if required. Woodburn or Wilson hopefully get a shot but I don’t see a chance for Chirivella with Fabinho coming in personally.

I am not sure if Milner would stick around to be a squad player but hopefully he does, I would rather him be back up to Robertson than Moreno. Shudder the thought of Robbo getting an injury and Moreno being our LB over a long period.

IMO, Gini is going nowhere. Lallana? Not so sure.

From the eyes of Lallana last March, I think he has lost his fire as a lfc players.

Gini won't go. I do see the value in him, I think he is a fantastic player.

{Ed025's Note - your easily pleased then hendo, he had a handful of good games last season and the rest were abject at best, if i was klopp he would be the first one out the door mate..

I like Wijnaldum too, very good squad player.
He might not make the First XI next season but he keeps the team at a consistent level when he does come in, several really valuable spells covering for injuries to Henderson, Can etc.
I really can't see Klopp selling him anytime soon.

{Ed025's Note - on the bench could be an option i suppose juicer, but not near the starting line up except for injuries..

Really ed025? No see, I think what holds him back is psychological. It looked like he was going to take control of the Madrid game but also looked like he bottled it. I like his versatility. I can see him growing in stature as he gets older.

{Ed025's Note - what i see is a mediocre midfielder who seems to lose focus very easily mate...but maybe thats just me..

Agree Ed - he’s not really a defensive mid, nor a regular attacking threat. What he’s best at is just getting stuck in, trying to control possession, and ticking the ball over.

While I like Gini, we need more than that to really aim for the top, and Keita is hopefully the edge we need to change the game from midfield, while Gini can add depth and cover with an experienced option off the bench.

I think gini should stay he has had the making of a good player, somewhere in there. I'd rather lose lallana due to age, and injuries. Gini has the ability to play any role in midfield and maybe with a bit more competition might knuckle down. He doesn't seem disruptive and is seemed to be liked. I think his downfall is he is good at a lot of things but not great - a bit like Milner In a sense.

Got to say Gini's performances towards the end of the season and champs league especially have earned him the right to stay for next season and be part of what we are building. I was at the Roma game where he came on for Ox and thought he was very good. Maybe not a starter next season depending on signings but surely he has done enough to have some gratitude and opportunity moving forward.
