Eds - I've been an avid reader of the site for years and massively appreciate the work you all do on here.

I'm not too clued up on Fabinho and would be keen to hear from Ed001 / Ed002 on their view of him as a player and how he will fit in to the team.

A very nice way to end a bank holiday weekend though. I'm hoping for a few signings over the summer to bolster the team we have already and push us (hopefully! ) further up the table. i'm also crossing my fingers that Salah will be with us next season!

{Ed002's Note - I don’t know what Klopp is planning but if he is ejecting JH, GW and AOC from the starting line up you will likely see a 4-2-3-1 line up with Fekir added and a bunch of youngsters looking to leave as well. This could be pretty risky in England without a second defensive midfield player.}

City did alright this year with just the one defensive midfielder tho didn’t they.

I don’t see how this is ejecting any of them. Is it not replacing the void Can leaves? For all the games we play and the intensity that we play at, all will surely have their fair share of games and lack of quality in depth has cost our end to the season with 3 midfielders out injured.

I’m just surprised:glad we managed to keep a deal quiet.

Ed01, sorry if I’m wrong, but if I remember correctly you weren’t a big fan when Utd were chasing him last summer?

Has Ceballos interest gone now Ed’s? I’m assuming we are still in for Fekir and have Keita and now Fabinho signed (feels good to say that) I wouldn’t expect anymore than three in one window.

{Ed002's Note - He has made it clear he wants elsewhere - all of this has been explained.}

Ed002, I read earlier your comment that Liverpool we’re moving in the right direction, but have also been interested to read your comments about Klopps shortcomings both as a manager and a tactician. Appreciate all the Ed’s (and the readers) comments. Got a question for you if I may.? Do you think Klopp will eventually get silverware at Liverpool? Personally I can’t see any wrong in him, but I am acutely aware that I fall into the category of ‘blinkered fan’. I’m thinking we are distinctly on the up.

{Ed002's Note - The owners and Klopp have made it clear they are looking to buy success. I think it wrong for the Chairman to send a pretty awful message to the players on the day of the final, but no doubt they will be in a place to challenge.}

So Keita and Fabinho in and Can out.

We’re going to need to ship some players if we’re thinking about Fekir. Perhaps Lallana and Wijnaldum?

With all do respect Ed, apart from the freak season Leicester had, who hasn’t bought success in the EPL?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool.}

Cheers Ed002.

What was the awful message from the chairman Ed?

{Ed002's Note - About transfers.}

Thanks Ed002 - interesting times! The squad needs depth and that surely is what is being acheived - it will definitely give us a few options. It will be interesting to see who will actually leave.

Sounds like you think Fekir definitely signing too!

{Ed002's Note - I have explained about Fekir.}

Brilliant Ed 002. You tell it how it is and don't give a damn about how we might get annoyed or offended. Us Liverpool fans need a healthy dose of reality every now and then 😂.

Ron - Gini should stay. I think he has great potential as a defensive midfielder.

28 May 2018 23:00:29
Ed 2's right to be fair, we haven't bought success in the past, shame for players like Chirivella, Wilson and Woodburn who are definitely worth taking a look at next season but won't get a look in. Writings on the wall for Wijnaldum, realistically.

Good answer ed02. Don't always 100% agree but that's funny. Sad but true. We are all trying to buy success though aren't we.

Teams like us, utd and arsenal, even spurs have been there for years, gigging in germany. Chelsea and City won the x factor.

Henderson can very well play next to Fabinho in the 4-2-3-1. Push Keita a little further up to provide the scurrying pressing and forward push that Lallana was providing last year, alongside Mane and Salah. And Firmino up top. Wijnaldum and Milner to stay on the bench and come in when needed. We have to think in terms of a starting squad of 16-17, and not 11.

15.) 28 May 2018
28 May 2018 23:39:57
Wijnaldum won’t be going anywhere.
Also, how are Liverpool buying success when you look at the net spend over the past 3 years? I could mention the lack of success as well.

{Ed002's Note - Net spend is of zero consequence.}

28 May 2018 23:48:50
Ed002, would like to hear your opinion on which club is the best at getting success in the right way I. e not buying success. n whether it can be done in football nowadays as many clubs spent vast amount of money on transfers.

{Ed002's Note - it is not worth it - the abuse is back again.}

28 May 2018 23:57:40
Wow Ed 02. That answer both hurt and made me laugh at the same time. I recon you’d be great to go for a pint with.

{Ed002's Note - There you go - some of the Liverpool fans are intent on spoiling everything for others. We have no way to control the abuse and every time it happens there will be less and less information provided. I should have said absolutely nothing again this evening.}

ed02 I think scootinho genuinely found your Liverpool not buying success post funny and didn't mean offence. maybe I have just read it wrong tho but I have a friend who can be similarly brutal and quick witted and he is the best laugh after a few beers. anyway I hope the bank holiday weekend treated you well and that you know for every abusive lfc fan there are many grateful knuckle draggers who appreciate your time and contribution to the site.

{Ed002's Note - I don't find that offensive at all. He is far from the issue.}

Hardly a risky proposition in the BPL Ed002. City won the league with a CM playing CDM and 2 CAMs playing besides him. Having Fabinho, Keita and Fekir just means Klopp prefers the team to win the ball back from the opposition much higher up the pitch.

{Ed002's Note - So Klopp is planning 4-1-1-1-3 you think?}
