Honestly a year ago I would be fuming that Klopp has paid the price for being too loyal to error strewn players. A year on I have learned a lot more about Klopp the man. I have no problem with him if he wants to stick by Karius and rebuild him. Football may be results and money driven but there’s a huge amount of value in building resilient humans. I value that more today than a year ago. YNWA Loris and Mo!

FlyPelican I get what you mean and also learnt a lot from Klopp in the past year or so but let's seperate emotions slightly from reality, we need a new goalkeeper. Its not just on last nights game as the poor lad made two mistakes in one game in the final of the Champions League. You only have to look at De Gea to see what a top keeper can do, fans are screaming out for us to challange for the title but you need a good keeper as a start in order to do that. I get where your arguement stems from and I more than anyone love a comeback story and will support him if Klopp decides to stick with him but my choice in this moment of time is to go for Oblak or Becker.

I’m not suggesting we shouldn’t add a keeper - and I assume that we will move Mignolet Bogdan and Ward on this summer and bring one or two in. I agree that a keeper can win you 10 points a season. Alisson or Oblak would be excellent if available.

Its quite staggering to think for one reason or another all 4 of our keepers might be moved on. Bogdan is not good enough, Ward needs to move for game time, Mignolet is not good enough and Karius for reasons previously explained. FlyPelican, I am hoping Klopp can convince either Oblak or Becker to join and I would go with Reina or an experienced keeper as back up.

I agree about vile fans giving Karius abuse. It is wrong. He is a good little keeper and I've constantly stood by him this season but. We do need a better keeper, if we had degea we would have won the league. Our rivals all have international no1s, we don't even have an international keeper in Karius. I know he will move on from this, he is confident and arrogant and he will maybe someday be Germany gk but I don't think HD is good enough to compete at the top level.
