Good article on BBC Sport about Klopp - front page at the mo.

If you do go onto the HYS that is attached, always be wary to "Mind the tw**" as there are a number of bitter manutds out in force!

One of the top comments is actually a Man utd fan,

'Top Manager, Top Bloke. You'd run through walls for him, he's got your back, you've got his. A Man Utd fan. Good luck Liverpool, you deserve this one. '

Good article.

Fair play to the lad.

I saw that shents. Plenty of decent football fans out there, even good luck from some bluenoses.

A pity the kids ruin it, and I include our ‘fans’ on HYS too. Arrogant braggarts! Would rather stay gracious and see what happens!

We’ve got a good chance against one of the top ten sides in the world. People are writing us off because apparently we had an easier draw. Forgetting that Roma beat Chelsea and Barcelona to get to the Semi’s and that Madrid had a very lucky penalty awarded to them and were lucky not to concede one against Juve.

I can't say goodluck Zedd (obviously), i hope you get battered actually, but without bias, i think it's going to be a very good game; one goal in it for me.

Also, when Coutinho left in January, your midfield was criticised for being too 'workmanlike', do you reckon that has actually ended up benefitting you? instead of matching up to Silva, KDB, Fer 'on the ball' in the quarters, the press and intensity got the better of them three? Something similar against Kroos, Modric and Casemiro?

Of course you can say good luck Scholes. As we leave these shores (30 miles down the lane) and head to the other side of the continent.

Why would you come on here and tell us that you hope that we get battered, sure tell us something that we don't know.

Interesting question scholes.

I think it’s horses for courses. I think our midfield is very well suited to what we need them to do, press, turnover the ball, breakdown play then release the forwards quickly and let our front 3 do the damage. As we’ve seen time and again they get criticized most for the games against the bottom teams as they don’t have that KDB or David Silva attacking edge, but they are highly effective when in a scrap for midfield possession, especially against the better sides.

That they are so effective does rely on us having a lethal front three though. Stick them behind someone like Lukaku and suddenly there wouldn’t be any attacking flair in the side at all. Every side needs it’s flair and ours sits with Firmino, Mane and Salah.

The current problem with Utd as I see it is I can’t identify who that player is for you, whether it’s in midfield or upfront. It should probably be Sanchez or Pogba but both have been hit or miss and Rashford/ Martial look like their on a leash. Mourinho seems to be happy with stability across the park and then hope Lukaka puts away one of the two or three chances they create per game, whereas City and Liverpool are going for players that create 10-15 chances a game.

Scholes comepletly understabd your sentiment scholes :) I would also be wanting the same if the shoe were on the other foot :) Barry I think what he is trying to say is he wants us to get battered but there’s only 1 goal in it. Almost submission into the fact that we have a very good team and can compete and beat the very best. As for your question scholes, yes I think it’s almost typically the same type of match up as it was against city (midfield) however going forward I think they are extremely clinically. So interesting to see how that midfield battle goes.

If the shoe was on the other foot I know who’d I want to win! I’d never expect any Man Utd fan to want us to win or any Liverpool fan to want them to win a CL final. It’s how you handle yourself when speaking about it though, the way you conduct yourself, show maturity. Like scholes has and also the guy on the the comments after the Klopp interview.

In my eyes it's England vs Spain. As a younger man I used to want utd to lose to everyone they faced, particularly European games but as I've got on in years it just seems silly. If you hate anything in life and nothing they do or say can ever ever change that it just seems stubborn and silly. There is a reason why liverpool fans and utd fans despise one another and I bet some fans don't even know what it is yet continue to hate utd. Some people might think I'm not a staunch supporter but trust me. Lfc is the love of my life, I hate utd but I have perspective.

Of it were any other English team, say spurs, would you guys still want real Madrid to win. If it were Everton I would consider going to the game to cheer em on.
