Lad's what is this fascination with fan's of opposing team's (well one in particular) in the EPL have of buying the jersey of any team Liverpool meet in a European final? Like if Juve or AC Milan or PSG etc etc were playing one of our domestic rival's would I go out a buy the AC Milan jersey I don't think so.

Let's not forget though Barry, a certain Madrid player is an idol at a certain other club, and I don't mean Bale or Modric at Spurs. Some still talk of him as their own so he could play against us for Hackney Gasworks second eleven and they would wear his shirt. I think as it's Madrid and it'd him a lot of fans from that club will wear that shirt. On an unrelated note I do have a Deportivo ****as shirt, Peru's best named team. Had to be done.

Oh trust me I get that as well but it also happened in 2007 a lot of our domestic rival's fan's were seen in AC Milan jersey's. Like what's the point!

The point is being very sad and having too much disposable income.

I think it's amazingly sad that jealous fans support a team from another country, with no English players when they are playing a team from the same county as their team. It's pathetic. I remember when utd beat bayern in the last few minutes, I couldn't help it, I was going for utd. Same with Chelsea when they won it. If your old man (or grandad) was a docker who lost his job because of zz rival teams supporters then fair enough, otherwise its just blind hate and its pretty sad really.

I can guarantee you guys would be supporting and hoping Suarez did a number on united if Barcelona were playing us in the final. Let’s not pretend you guys would be supporting united if the roles were reversed. Credit where it’s due you guys deserve to be in the final. I hope you lose but if you win it will be fully deserved and I’m sure it will be a night to remember! And a week of unforgettable partying. And many united fans would never buy an opposition team shirt just because they are playing against Liverpool. Very silly if there are some fans doing that.

When an English team (utd) play a German team (bayern) it is only natural for an English man to support the English club. No I wouldn't be routing for Barcelona to beat utd.

If there were no utd players in the England team would you want chile to beat England coz of sanchez?

I tell you now, I was happy when Teddy scored against bayern. It was not something I thought about, it was a natural reaction.

I think every true English man should be supporting liverpool on Saturday night against the spanish giants. Holding on to petty club rivalries, especially when utd have f all to do with this game, is petty and sad. These rivalries will soon be forgotten when the world cup begins.

I can also testify to the fact that some but not many were seen in Savilla jerseys the night of the Europa league final.

I can understand when it's your direct rivals then you don't want them getting one over on you. But for teams like Spurs and Chelsea doing is against Liverpool it's especially childish. And if I was city I'd definitely want us to win, it's far less embarrassing to lose to the winners than it is to be 'the only big team beaten by someone who just had an easy run'
