Hi, question for the Ed's - why is there no chance to bring Sturridge back for the final in Kiev. Was it part of the loan deal? He may have been handy off the bench - a bit of magic if we needed it. Thanks Scott YNWA from Brisbane Oz.

Even if we could I think it’s too risky poor lad is too injury prone his body is shot I think which is a shame quailty on his day but won’t ever wear the red again sadly!

Seriously though, his nephew made a grand total of one start and 5 brief sub appearances (goals 0 assists 0) in four months at West Brom. Who would you tell that he's lost his place on the bench to bring this guy in who has no future at the club?

I understand why it seems tempting but I honestly think solanke is as likely to score as sturridge and think what confidence playing in a champions league final will give the lad. Danny sadly doesn't deserve to be in the squad, I know he scored early on but he hasn't been part of the team for most of the season.

Don't worry, with Bobby salah and mane (who I reckon is going to have a big big night) we have more than enough fire power.

After the first leg with roma I was super confident that it was our trophy this year. Then I went a bit the other way, was intimidated by reals European success, their big name players but no. This is OUR year, we have been the outstanding team in this champions league. We have out scored everyone, milner has broken the record for assists. We have salah who has swept aside records set by legends like Ian rush, Robbie Fowler, Micheal Owen and Alan shearer. And d'you know what. We have a pretty impressive European pedigree too. We battered, and I repeat BATTERED Man City who everyone creamed themselves over and we did it with style, not sneaky tactics. I honestly feel highly confident again, we have lost a couple of finals in recent years and it's time we tasted glory again, God knows us reds fans crave it. Reds have always done well in the east (sort of) I think it will be a beautiful night, I think we will score early. Twice and be able to enjoy the match that I think we will score 4/ 5 in, Madrid 1/ 2.

{Ed002's Note - Solanke is far more likely to score as Sturridge is ineligible. Sturridge has the same chance of scoring for Liverpool in this year's Champions League Final as Lassie, Paul Pogba and Pol Pot.}

I can see us potentially using Solanke late on if we need a goal and Real are sitting deep. Dropping a midfielder and moving to a 4-2-3-1 with Firmino at 10 as we saw against Brighton might come out again.
