What's the low down on Fekir guys? I mean style of play etc, not transfer speculation.

Skilful, hard working, good vision like a half way between firmino and Coutinho, probs not at either level yet but in terms of style. Would be a good signing will only get better with our frontline in front of him.

He is nothing like Firmino. He is a cross breed of Coutinho and Moussa Dembele. Effortless with the ball. His left leg is pure magic.

Fekir is a heavier, stronger version of Coutinho. Accomplished dribbler in tight spaces, is moderately fast, and has a magical wand of a left foot. Is very creative and brings the ball up from midfield. Plays on the right wing usually, but used mostly in midfield in the AM position, this year. Very good with free kicks. Will need to adapt his game to Klopp's system because he doesn't track back or press.

Harry, Fekir is NOTHING like Dembele and if you think so, I can only conclude that you ahve never seen him play or barely, at best. Having watched Fekir in Ligue 1 from jump (broke into the first team at Lyon a year after Lacazette), Kloppmania describes him the best.

Fekir started playing alongside Lacazette as a 2 up front BUT this season under Genesio (Lyon manager), Lyon went to a 4-4-2 diamond with Fekir playing at the tip behind both Mariano/ Depay and Betrand Traore. Fekir is an upgrade on Cou already cos he can play behind a striker (like Cou), with a striker in a two up top, and behind two strikers as a playmaker like he did all of this season.

Dembele can do NONE of the things I just mentioned. He is a winger, end of story. I hope the Fekir deal happens cos I am already salivating at what he will bring to this team and of course, Klopp does not sign flops.

Oh come on Ed025, a bit harsh on a 4th choice central defender and a kid? The rest, well, two out of three are not putting in enough effort. And laziness is surely floppy behavior.

Ed25, Allow me to clarify. Klavan has been solid for us ( as and was part of the defence that led us to the 18 game unbeaten streak where we conceded only 7 goals till VVD arrived. Wiji has come good for us (^ goals and 10 assists in his first season) even tho, he did not have as good a season this term. Solanke and Grujic are still young hence, jury is still out while Matip I agree, is not good enough.

I have seen him play. That is what I think of the player. With the ball he could glide pass players effortsely. We have two different opinion on Fekir and I can assure you he won’t be playing as any winger at Liverpool. He will be occupied the most advanced Midfield position very much like an Erriksen! Doesn’t matter what he played for Lyon. We are buying him on his abilities.
